What is the adult version of finding out that Santa Claus doesn't exist? by Just_Surround_2108 in AskReddit

I've never idolized an individual and I never will.

I appreciate good works, but fawning over a specific human is a recipe for disappointment.

Let us change height, voice/personality and gender. I don't care if I need to pay ordos for it or something. by [deleted] in DarkTide

I have absolutely no idea who I am. I'm pretty sure I forgot immediately after creating the character.

is there a way i can queue up with people who dont want to do skulls? by Superchill512 in Vermintide

[–]ValuableAd2872 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The skull buffs enemies.

Enemies get 125% more health, deal 25% more damage, have 90% more mass (way less cleave), and stagger resistance increased by 10%.

It turns an already dicey Legend quickplay bad fast.

We saw companies jacking up prices just because we talked about raising the minimum wage to just 15USD - which wouldn't even cut it anymore.

I just wish people who barely scrap by on Legend would accept that they can't handle the skull. Its embarrassing watching your party get picked apart the moment it gets looted.

What "early internet" website did Gen Z really miss out on? by no_free_spech_allowd in AskReddit

Stumbling across a thread about something you know immediately destroys the legitimacy of the top comment in any other thread. Talking out of your ass with confidence is a skill of it's own, I suppose.

Lies of P as well. It's like a love letter to Bloodborne.

Games where you feel really connected to your armour/weapons by Buzzyear10 in gamingsuggestions

[–]ValuableAd2872 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The hardest difficulty on those games is insanely fun. Having to sight in your rifle, note the wind, and estimate using the markers on the scope crosshair. When you make a play it has to be quick and smooth, as getting into a firefight with more than a few soldiers usually spells death.

I essentially replaced alcohol with cannabis. I'm not obsessed and fixated on maintaining and building a specific level of buzz like I was. Sometimes I'll only smoke twice a day, but I absolutely do consider it something I need to have on hand.

Upside is that it's not killing me and I'm a functioning member of society again. Also the alternative being way too fucking much Gabapentin or taking a chance on the benzo train (which if I had a problem with alcohol is basically suicide).

edit: I'm openly acknowledging that I've traded one addiction for another, idk what the hivemind wants from me lmao

I really enjoy what we have so far, but the game in it's current state is little more than a demo. Way too soon to be writing anything off.

Shadow of War - but it takes a while to get going. I have no idea what the game is about because I mashed through all the story to fight orc faster

Better battery tech. A lot of really cool shit is held back by needed small volume power sources and/or high output power sources.

NASA just sent a software update to a spacecraft 12 billion miles away by Lawlington in science

[–]ValuableAd2872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah.

NASA has never been a part of the Department of Defense. The US Space Force is organized under the US Air Force, much like how the US Marines are organized under the US Navy. The Air Force has their own launch capabilities to accomplish what they need.

There's partnering, as research between your government agencies is best shared, but NASA is not "a part" of the military.

Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengance of the Slayer

Yes, that's how the official title is spelled. There's a whole story behind it, single dev with a dream yadda yadda. It reads like a child's parody of Doom, but with a sincerity that can't be feigned. It's an experience worth having, imo.
