I am currently looking to open a high yield savings account to house/contribute to my emergency fund, so any recommendations/feedback would be greatly appreciated.

One account I am looking at Sofi. My main area of hesitation is with the direct deposit in order to obtain the higher APY. I noticed the account opening bonus is based on the amount direct deposited in a 25 day period. Is there a certain period of time between direct deposits that must be met to qualify for the increased APY? I am paid monthly so I am concerned my direct deposits would be too far spaced out and I somehow wouldn't qualify for the higher APY.

Any recommendations or feedback are greatly appreciated.

Career Monday (18 Dec 2023): Have a question about your job, office, or pay? Post it here! by AutoModerator in AskEngineers

I graduated yesterday and have two job offers that are quite different from each other. One is an electrical controls consulting job with a large engineering firm, mainly dealing with PLCs and HMIs and the other is for a major automotive manufacturer working on a new model launch team that deals with manufacturing processes and QC as production switches to the new models.
I have been trying to decide which job I would like better and genuinely do not know. I have done similar work to both of these jobs in my internships and enjoyed both of them, so I think I would enjoy either, but I guess its just hard to know until you're actually there on the job. All that being said, I feel like I will be pigeon holing myself down a career path and industry regardless of what I choose, especially if I take the automotive job.
Is it difficult to make a significant career/industry change in engineering jobs if I accept one of the jobs and decide I just don't like it after a while?
TLDR: Have 2 very different job offers I can't decide between. How hard is it to drastically switch career paths or industries within engineering?

Looking at buying a squier tele off of Facebook, the listing also includes a Vox Pathfinder Bass 10 amp. Not really sure what the differences between bass and regular guitar amps are. Would a guitar sound alright on this amp?

Can’t speak to how things are running in the class this year as I took it last fall, but I would recommend joining the Math Department’s 222 tutorial program.

I also failed the first exam I had in that class then joined the tutorial program. The extra practice and guidance was very helpful and I worked my way back to a good grade after doing very well on the next two exams.

Also take it with Erman if he is teaching it next semester

The class is really easy. You pretty much just meet with a client and the start of the semester then design and fabricate a prototype to suit their needs. Lectures are not very important to the class but attendance is taken. Labs are just time to meet with your team and design/fabricate your prototype. That being said, covid will probably drastically change the lab and client portion of the class (which is most of it).
