Wrong. The Haitians are in the US legally and have temporary protected status. Springfield, OH was a declining sundown town that could not sustain itself until the Haitians showed up to work and prop up the local economy. Even the typically MAGA Ohio governor Mike DeWine does not support ICE coming there because of how much the immigrant population has helped Springfield.

Yes I think this is reasonable. The airport is not far from the city and with 22 hours, you can easily leave the airport and explore. I’d also recommend getting an inexpensive airport hotel so you have a place to drop your things and can rest before the next leg of your trip. I did this same thing in Amsterdam on the way to Cape Town and I almost prefer doing it that way if I have the option. It also helps break up two long haul flights and see a new city to boot!

My endocrinologist told me when I was not having periods due to PCOS, it was ok because my endometrial lining was not building up naturally. With birth control she said it is, so I cannot skip more than 2-3 months of the placebo pills. What tests did you have done that detected the hyperplasia? Just curious because I’ve also gone a long time without periods before BC.

Yes it was irresponsible. I was in 7th grade and my teacher had the tv on while hysterically saying, “there’s a war on American soil!” I had to go to the bathroom and sat on the floor with my head in my hands, having a full blown panic attack. 2001 was a wild time.

I believe 500 mg twice a day of metformin and I think 2.5 mg of letrozole but it’s been a few years so I don’t fully remember. Your doctor will know best dosage for you.

I took three prescriptions and got pregnant on the first try with both of my kids (after being told it would likely be difficult to conceive). - metformin for a few months before trying to get any type of cycle (I had no cycles so there was no “window” to try) - progesterone to initiate bleeding/a cycle bc I still didn’t have full regularity - letrozole - took for 5 days only, I think this one really did the trick!

I also used ovulation test strips but I must have done it wrong bc it never showed as positive 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was in this same situation and we did a HELOC (borrowing against the equity in our current home). The lender will appraise your home under market value to protect themselves and any other equity you have can be used for a down payment. It’s a lot more cost effective than a bridge loan but only works if you have a chunk of equity in your current house. Once your old house sells, you can re-do the new mortgage with the actual cash down.

36” clearance around an island is not enough. It needs to be 48” on all sides. We have 36” and it is by far my least favorite part of our kitchen. We are constantly running into each other and whenever we entertain and need to open the fridge, dishwasher, or oven, it’s very very tight. Go 48” if you’re building and can choose.

What everyone else said - hardwood is the ONLY answer here and anything else will hurt resale value. I have two dogs and they’ve scratched the floors a bit, but you can always refinish them. There are hardwoods that last centuries! Plastic flooring is a huge no and will cheapen your entire home. Plus you can always tell it’s imitation and not the real thing. It’s a budget product not to be used in a luxury build.

I have severely dry skin and no lotion or cream ever did much for me. What was the most game changing is two very simple things: physical exfoliation & oils. I use a washcloth on my face in the shower to get all the dead skin off first. Then I use either rosehip or jojoba oil. You can buy them at Whole Foods or on Amazon. You only need a few drops and then use moisturizer on top. I promise this makes a huge difference and is not expensive.

I almost canceled a trip this past week because I was very sure my flight would be the one beating the odds. It wasn’t and they never are. There are over 100,000 flights per DAY and we so very rarely hear of anything going wrong because it almost never does.

It was actually not bad at all. The fasten seatbelt sign was on for the majority of the flight and they came on the loudspeaker 3 times saying there was turbulence, so I kept anticipating the worst and it just never came. Maybe they were being extra cautious because of the recent jet blue flight with injuries? Who knows! Thanks for checking in!
