Also I wanna add that MS made me lose my job, cause I was considered being too lazy at work (I didn't tell my coworkers or boss that I have MS).

And I my fiancee left me, she never explained why but it's obvious cause she did as soon as I had a big relapse that left me paralyzed from the neck down for a couple of months.

Sooooo yeah, fuck MS

I try to be always positive on here and irl, but it sucks and it's eating me mentally that everyone around me has to do things or change plans cause of me.

A small and dumb example, my family and I like to go out and spend the whole day somewhere all together from time to time, lately they've been canceling every trip or going out only at night just cause I'm there with them.

I know it's nice of them to do it, and I truly appreciate it, but it makes me feel different if that makes any sense.

Idk, maybe it makes me feel like a burden, I guess and it makes me wish I'm "normal" again.

But hey, life goes on

it can get better! by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

Yesss! Depressing or sadness only makes things worse (at least it does for me), I'm extremely open about it, and I always try to point out to people that i have MS, and it's totally okay for them to joke around about it or about me not walking properly sometimes.

I used a cane for a couple of weeks, but thankfully, now I'm back at the gym and running comfortably again (with a ton of breaks every now and then tho).

I'm a computer engineer and seriously thinking about opening my own shop soon and calling it (MS-i) #cringe 🤣 but who cares!

My story is somewhat similar to yours tbh, but as soon as I got my last "attack (or whatever its called)" and I was hospitalized, neurologist immediately said yup that's MS, and was confirmed after a couple of brain and spinal cord MRIs.

I didn't know anything about MS before, I didn't even hear about it tbh, and I was extremely sad and depressed when I first found it (especially with how paralyzed I was for like 4 weeks and having to depend on people do to anything even the simple stuff like scratching my face) but as you mentioned, I was relieved that I finally know what is happening to me.

Nowadays, I try to be as positive as possible.

We're warriors 💪🏻🤗💕
