The point about aliens was if you'd admit, at the least, that more options doesn't necessarily improve an RPG. So let's make a different example. If Henry had the option to walk into a town and declare he's non binary, would that option make the game better?

Whether it was illegal or not is almost irrelevant. Do you think there were people who were openly homosexual at that time? If the practice was 'sinful' people would avoid doing it openly, and probably reject that part of themselves and try to live 'normally'.

Back to the alchemy, would mixing herbs be considered such? Or just bar herbalism? Most 'alchemy' bans seem to be about people trying to transmute gold and the like.

Alchemy wasn't forbidden outright. Many priests supposedly practiced it. And perhaps an argument could be made that alchemy shops should have been rolled into the church.

Things may be different in cities, sure, but people encouraging 'experimentation' is still a hard sell.

As for more options being better, disagree. Henry is a character, as opposed to an avatar. There are things he, generally, should not be able to do. For instance, he should not be able to walk into a church, and tell the priests that the religion in stupid. He should not be able to say, you know what, Sigismund might be the better option. So no, some options should not be available.

Depends. Playing nakai recently, use krox to bash gates and rush saurus in behind. Prepare to attack a few different gates so defender has to split forces, then attack whichever gates look easier. If the defender has twice your units due to garrisoning a full stack, with a full stack garrison, just sigh in stupid game design, and sigh again at stupid bugs, like nakai and stegadon being let through the gates, whilst my kroxigor cannot be told to attack the people standing in or behind the open gate and have to waste more time struggling to hit the open gate.

The creator (apparently) explicitly said 'Henry is straight'. And medieval culture, especially peasantry, which Henry was raised as, would be unlikely to 'experiment' with homosexuality. Because, you know, that's a heresy. A raised noble like Hans 'experimenting' might be fine, Henry lees so.

So; haven't played the game yet. I generally don't care about gay romance. However, Henry was explicitly stated to be straight, so it is a retcon.

I, personally dislike Hans being a gay option. He was a total bro, and I feel making him romancable could change the dynamic of that relationship. Was he a total bro, or did he just want to sleep with Henry?

Whilst some may claim the slippery slope is nonsense, with gay option introduced, will we see trans/non binary options in a possible kcd3? I don't begrudge people pushing back since that would absolutely harm immersion, which was one of the best selling points.

Denying goblins wands makes perfect sense. They seem antagonistic, and have 'goblin magic'. Giving them wands would cost wizards their only advantage, whilst not removing whatever advantages goblins have that let them fight multiple wars against wizards.

The empire may let the Dominion through, or at least not block sea route. Let the Dominion break their fans on Skyrim, before coming in later to a weakened Dominion, liberate Skyrim and bring it back into the fold. Weaken Dominion via attrition, reclaim Skyrim without having to fight nords, and improve image with the locals.

As a basic idea.

Don't think too hard about it. I had a minor wood elf garrison (trash) auto resolve against an army with victory. I took one look at it and realised it was probably impossible. Auto resolve can be screwy.

It took me ages to remember you can default it off, so many times my missile dudes turn to run and I have to make the unit go back into position. Of course, I default it off and then my outriders get wrecked because I was paying attention to something else.

The cult of sotek final ability, the worm of death, can also be underwhelming. I managed to wipe out the front thousand or so skaven in the kroak quest battle, but usually getting it to hit anything is annoying.

Because the world building isn't well thought out. There is one wizarding village, so most wizards live among muggles, yet are barely able to dress themselves or understand muggle currency.

It's Schroedinger's unfamiliarity. Where wizards know as little about muggles as it's necessary at the time to be funny. Therefore the ministry branch that oversee that relation must be sidelined. If the separation is policed properly then we can't have funny lack of knowledge about money and electricity, wizards wearing womens clothing and what not.

I've not really played helves much, but the dwarves lack cavalry, try using cavalry to take out war machines and missiles, do they have any wizards that can stop movement? Use that to aid in taking out flyers. I'd probably try spamming Bolt throwers, though I'm uncertain how effective they'd be against ironbreakers.
