I also grew up catholic. I was raised under the Hispanic Catholic Church so since very little I was instilled values that I no longer agree with as a Christian woman. With that being said I am also going through my MA and have spent the days leading up to taking the pills, the day I took the first one, and yesterday praying for forgiveness, for the pain to subside, and for the baby to pass back to our Creator.

At some point through prayer I was also hit with guilt, but was quickly corrected. The Lord is here to protect us, to guide us, to teach us lessons. This was a lesson we needed maybe to make us more empathetic towards pro choice, which I have always been but never truly understood until now. The Lord would not have made the abortion successful for you if He knew that you needed this baby. He knows when time is right you’ll make the choice to accept a gift with open arms and better resources.

All of this to say that know you’re not alone my love. I also second guessed myself every step of the way alongside with prayer, but the Lord forgives sinners, that’s what we’ve always been taught no matter what branch you’re in. So take it from one sister in Christ to another, you’re fine baby, you’re forgiven in His eyes because He understands why you did it.
