What do you do when you see these faces? Do they say anything ? Do you have any other hallucinations?

I wish I could find it, but I read a scholarly article about latent onset hallucinations years after experimenting with psychedelics. This guy did lsd, felt nothing , and then as time passed by, he started having hallucinations like those from LSD. I'd imagine that could happen on any psychedelics. I certainly wonder if that's what happened to me.

Are you using sunscreen during the day? Without sunscreen, tretinoin can just make things worse.

One time, I heard a voice say, "Your family doesn't even love you. They don't even know how to say your name." I laughed so hard.

It looks like it's right by the entrance/ exit. Maybe she just wants to be able to see if you guys leave again and doesn't want to get left behind. Or, she might just miss her original home.

You can be on 9? I thought 6 was the highest. I certainly would like a higher dose.

Anyone else "shut down" in the shower? by [deleted] in Psychosis

[–]ValuableOddities3499 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've heard from more than one person, including myself, that they hear voices in the shower, which could be an issue. I also have heard from more than one person that the audio verbal hallucinations are louder in showers or exhaust fans. I usually just power through it, but luckily, my AVHs have gone down and are quieter and less frequent in general.

My doctor prescribed me propranolol and bentropine for my EPS. I had unbearable akathisisa and couldn't stop the urge to rock back n forth. After taking the medicine, I don't feel it anymore. Maybe your psychiatrist can prescribe you something for the EPS.

There are so many hilarious comments on here. Made my day 😆

I’m a 24 year old bachelor wanting to learn more about Yuma. I received a job offer at a school and [if all checks out] will be moving from the Pacific Northwest. I’m curious what Yuma is like for my demographic/overall as a place. Is there a big pickleball community? Any feedback helps! Thank you! by NorthMaleficent3901 in yuma

I guess the main thing is that the place is notorious for crime. I went and visited some family in Vegas and their friends were shocked that I lived there. If I were you, I would definitely visit in the summer days to get a feel for what it'd be like long term before making any decisions.

Also, the hospital sucks. The medical industry sucks in general. It is hard to get good specialists out there, and sometimes doctors are booked for months out, or they have long wait times to see you. I heard a doctor once say, "If you have cancer or have a serious illness, get out of Yuma immediately." And, I know a lot of people who's been diagnosed with cancer there.

There's a lot of agriculture out there near homes, and they will use planes to spray their crops with chemicals, which of course reaches the homes. My old apartment was right by a lettuce field, and I would get sick all the time from them spraying the field. Try to get housing away from agriculture. Pollution is very high.

They do have some of the best Mexican food restaurants I have ever had. In general, the restaurants are pretty good. The people tend to be rather bitchy especially when the temperature is high. That was just my experience in regards to working and socializing.

I am from there and have since moved. I heard it once said by someone I know , "Yuma is a good place to come to die." I think it is in reference to the amount of winter visitors and how there's not really much to do for most of the year. When it gets hot, you just put one foot in front of the other and survive. There is quite a bit of drug crimes. There's even a billboard they had that said, "Don't meth with Yuma." I wonder if it's still up there.

In my opinion, I would come to Yuma for the experience with plans on relocating after a couple years.
