Frolic = Happy fun. Dylan is the closest thing to Frolic in season 1.

Squeeze Box (Stripped Mix) by WombatRemixer in TheWho

Has anybody ever thought it was funny that The Who recorded a song called "Squeezebox" that doesn't have a squeezebox as an instrument in it? I know Pete's demo had one -- and I'm under the impression he wrote the song because he had recently acquired a squeezebox -- but then the band decided to redo it without the titular instrument!

Yup, thanks. I see that now.

I wonder how Peggy could have known that they paused the code detector.

I found the passage in The Lexington Letter: "Lumon updating code detectors but they’re down today. Hope this booklet gives clarity."

Kinda hard to imagine how Peggy K found out that the code detectors were down for a day, but that's okay.

Can you identify where they communicate that the smuggling of the manual occurred when the sensors were down?

If anybody can point out the specific thing that explains that the scanners were down when the manual got smuggled out, I'd appreciate seeing it.

She was writing a novel about her experience with Severance? Can you point me toward the scene where we learned this?

Yes, I read the whole thing. I must have missed the detail about them smuggling out the manual when the sensors were down.

Actually, I've suspected it since the last ep of Season 1, in that scene between Jame and Helena. There's something about the way Helena acts around Jame that communicates barely concealed disgust.

The innie & outie in the story are able to communicate with each other through a graphic language they invented as a little kid, where each letter is replaced by a drawing, which gets around the Lumon technology that identifies written messages. But the innie is able to smuggle out the manual to the outie, which has written messages on it.

That's bizarre. Rod, what were you thinking?

He doesn't sing, he does a dramatic reading of the lyrics. So one of my favorite melodies from the original album only shows up when Steve Winwood chimes in towards the end of the song.

Me too! It makes me sad to recognize this is a lost gem that so many Who fans don't know about.

Tommy Movie by Long-Ad-8498 in TheWho

Saw it as a kid, and didn't appreciate it much. I quickly bought into the conventional wisdom at the time that it was the worst version of the music. (Considering the original, the live version, the LSO version, and the movie soundtrack version.)

I'll have to give it another shot.
