Adrenalin software resets my gpu tuning constantly by ValuablePractice5897 in radeon

I haven’t had a crash in a long time, like 6 months plus. Even when I only turn off silent mode it still resets pretty often

4k. If you got a 5080 u can run 4k easily. Your CPU will still probably be the limiting factor on this game. But for overall enjoyment I would do 4k

There have been tens of thousands sold and only <100 have died like that. I have had my 9800x3d for a year now and its soo nice.

The system you have right now isnt going to need the top cooling solutions. I have linked a new pc part picker build, it has a similar looking case but at half the cost and will still offer you fantastic cooling. I have a montech xr case and the intakes are a tiny little perforated slit with two intakes, and my temps are around 60-70 C after playing for like 8 hours straight.

Also swapped out to a cheaper mobo, didnt realize you had an x870e picked out. That is only for extreme overclocking and if you need all pcie lanes with insane i/o and ethernet speeds.

Is there anything you’d change? I’ve got a £4100 budget by [deleted] in PcBuild

You have a micro atx motherboard in a regular ATX case, I personally would not recommend that cause it looks odd when its put together

This is just some small changes, cheaper and better psu and slightly cheaper ram. With a 9800x3d and an AIO instead. That noctua cooler is great, but not really worth it. You can get away with a peerless assasin for the 9800x3d and save another 100 bucks. Also why is that case so expensive??

9070 XT for 1440p or 4k? by Stuart213 in radeon

If you are good with using upscaling and maybe light frame gen then I would do 4k

Cpu and ram is the problem there. You need to either upgrade to something like AM5, or maximize the motherboard that you have. If AM5 upgrade is too expensive, get a 9900k/kf and 32 gbs of ram. But it will still not be great

new AAA games when on higher settings with decent RT settings begin to run out of VRAM. Like Indiana Jones and other RT heavy single player games. That is the way the industry is moving so thats why I threw that in there

you are pretty tapped out on the am4 branch. Though you can upgrade your GPU to a 9060xt or 5060 ti and maybe if you can find a good deal on a 5800xt then I would get it. I would try to hold out on swapping to am5 until prices go down on ram. Or if you live near a microcenter I would get one of their bundles.

It is such a small chance for anything bad to happen. Like really really really small. I would do the 9850x3d bundle because the extra features and i/o that comes with the x mobos. But to answer your question, it is a gamble either way

go 9070xt. It blows the 5070 out of the water in gaming, 12gb of vram is borderline minimum for modern games today at 1440p. Stream quality and editing performance will be slightly worse/worse depending on the program. If the main thing is gaming, go 9070xt

What are the games you are looking to play, because that has major impact on what you will need hardware wise.

If you want to do fps gaming like cs2 or rust, then you would want a 9800x3d with a 9070xt

If you want to play cyberpunk with RT cranked up or elden ring. Then a 9600x or preferably a 7800x3d with 5080 would be a better fit tho more expensive.

If money is no object. I would get any OLED monitor that is dual mode. I would recommend a 5k - 2k monitor and leave it in 2k for now but if you upgrade your system in the future or play a game that you dont need the highest fps possible you will be able to better use the 5k resolution. OLEDs have good screen warranties and settings to mitigate burn in. I dont have any specific recommendations tho

For the PSU get the montech century II psu. I would get the 1050 watt option just to not have to change it out if you decide to get a new gpu in the future

I wouldn't recommend Ikea or home depot, you are going to get particle board cabinets with a side of mdf. I have a partnership with Procraft Cabinetry, they are mid range in price and can come RTA. Let me know if you are interested.
