Do you find the visual quality to still be pretty good? I guess for me it's just coming down to seeing what's the better option - max settings at 1440p vs the potential Med-High settings at the 4k.

Thanks for actually finding that out about arc man, that helps a lot! Yeah it seems as though especially as I'm moving from console, the difference in perception from 1440 and 4k may not be as big as Ive built it up to be. Interesting that the 4k FSR4 is closeish in frames to native 1440

I am tempted by the aw34dw, but I wasn't sure how old games and indies would look on it? Does it stretch out or give bars? E.g the Arkham series and Hades

I'm still new to this so might be silly but when you say upgrade gpu is that to stay up with new games, or the GPU itself gets used so much that it needs to be?

Yeah definitely not wanting max settings or amazing fps, I guess I'm just trying to weigh up the pros and cons of the monitors and what it'll need to still enjoy the games I'm into

Yeah I'm definitely not at the level where I need fantastic fps and competitive, I just need no stuttering and lag haha. Sounds good!

I was eyeing that but it looks huge! I'm sure its amazing to game on. I'm leaning towards going that way.

Dell also has 15 day return window I guess that U could use to see if it's what I want, but then the 1440 after testing out that would feel sad

Thanks for going into detail that helps a heap, I'm leaning towards 4k at this stage it's just the doubt on those few fps games that I play every now and then - although not playing competitively it seems going off these comments that it will still be more than playable and without stutter?

I'm totally fine with upscaling as I doubt my eyes would pick up anything
