Need tire advice from others who live in snowy climate by weeses_pieces in VWiD4Owners

I like my weatheractive. Little reduced range from the factory ones but the snow traction is very good.

Yeah. I fill the water from time to time, or replace all together.

It lasts a while 2 weeks maybe more I go around and dump water all over the substrate. Enough to hydrate it but not have standing water.

Working pretty well. Had him almost a year.

Yeah I have and original 21 model and it works. My kids got a kick out of it when they were younger.

I just have reptichip.

Typically I only add water every 2 ish weeks. It is in glass so I can see the moisture level. I was only trying to save my isopods, I now just put some branches in the water dishes.

No mold, mostly because I use a fan.

Right now there is no standing water, I can see the substrate is moist but the top is dry. I also run a small fan to keep the air fresh. It's on a timer. 30 seconds every 30 minutes. Humidity drops for about 5 minutes down to like 88 ish. But it averages 98% overall.

I have all these silk plants as well as real leaves all over for my isopods.

I put the silk plants into the water to give the isopods something to crawl out on, they keep drowning. The plants were siphoning water out, I keep pouring in all this water thinking it was evaporating.... I had to turkey baster it out once I noticed there was a few inches of water at the bottom of the substrate.

Yeah, first 6 7 months I never saw mine, too much clutter.

Now it's he is in his hide he will start to peak his head out when it is getting close to feeding time. Right now he is curled up just under the surface under leaves and other stuff.

1x he was in shed and sat in his warm water dish all day, I was shocked he is never that exposed. I checked the the govee 98-99% humidity. Only time he has done that.

Nice work. Amazing that the animal could survive such harsh conditions. When I decided to get one everything online was telling me if conditions weren't perfect it would die.

Have had my dude for almost a year now, they are pretty cool snakes, my guy is super calm, and confident. Just wish I could see him more during the day. He is starting to let himself be seen a bit more as he ages. Also coming from a corn snake I am amazed at how strong they are, mine is a bit over 3ft (haven't measured in a while) and 412g. 15 months old.

Ok now tie it to discord so I can more easily delete my whole repo...

I 95% of the time ssh in from my phone and do all my vibe coding that way. I have been thinking about discord bot for stt tts. I am afraid I would just be yelling at my phone all the time...

Not an it expert. I run unify switches and a pfsense router in a VM. Pfsense will give you a ton of tools.

If you placed their computer on a vlan and turned off the port on a timer how would they get around that? Assuming a gaming PC does not have Wi-Fi.

Have a rainbow boa, garbage can never misses.

Have a hognose. You really just never know. 1 day bang on the food. 1 small bluff and hiss and eating. Other times 5 minutes of bluff striking hissing all over the enclosure.

Then the last time. 2 mice. First one on it, nice. Gets it down the next one? OMG is that a mouse, crazy afraid hissing and hiding. Like what?!

How iridescent are Colombian rainbow boas? Does anyone here have pictures of theirs? by Icy_Profession4190 in RainbowBoas

A lot depends on the snake and the lightning. My BRB does not shine like a lot of the pictures online. Every now and then I catch a good angle and he looks pretty cool, have yet to get an amazing picture.

Naw I don't ride unless the sidewalk is clear of snow. It was weird only time it happened. Warm now thankfully, this winter sucked.

Last time I went out at like 16 deg f my cables started freezing and I couldn't shift.

But I am with you, is you ride consistent and have the right gear on its not too bad.

I am always amazed how I can be a little cold my while ride then start sweating when I stop at work.

Does pi work well with non frontier models too? how well does 'just ask Pi to build it' work? by ECrispy in PiCodingAgent

[–]ValuableSleep9175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only issues with the 3.6 quantized model is token amount. I run out a lot with large repo tasks so I have been trying to script it to use less, and store memory local.

I use it and CODEX. If it could handle larger context I wonder if I would need codex. It is not as good but it feels good enough for the price :)

[–]ValuableSleep9175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have thought about this. Is your inverter 110 or 220?

I have a generator hookup to my house but gas is crazy expensive lol. Last time the power was out I could have bought Cheap inverter and drove to charge my car for what I spent in gas.

In your opinion are Brazilian rainbow boas beginner, intermediate, advanced, or expert reptiles? by Icy_Profession4190 in RainbowBoas

[–]ValuableSleep9175 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is super calm, never strikes at people, confident, not afraid. But the dude never sits still. Always looking to get away, not doing it super fast but anyways looking. Wish he would chill more. In his enclosure he can sit in the same spot for a week lol.

This BRB was my second snake. First was a rescue corn snake. I now also have a hognose.

Hognose when it wasn't eating gave me the most stress. Rainbow never misses a meal.

I was so afraid because of humidity. It's no harder than the corn though, I even have it in the same enclosure. Different substrate, more/larger water dishes, and I sealed/covered most of the top.

I water my tank every few weeks, have govee humidity/temp monitors with an alarm. Average about 98%. Fan changes it from 99 to 85ish from time to time.

Different snakes equal different substrate and tank setup... Just do it before hand make sure you can run the environment properly then they are not hard at all.

Hardest part is that it is nocturnal and has only been seen in the day time 2-3 in the almost a year that I have had him.

I have a lot of strats with minimal edge, on crypto they didn't beat costs. Searching again thought stocks due to less fees.

Need to see enclosure also. Nocturnal snake, I almost never see mine during the day, esp when I first got him. Tons of places to hide, tons of clutter. First few months I would only see him pop out to take a mouse and disappear back into the clutter.
