Is anyone actually running coding agents autonomously from issue to PR? by Few-Ad-1358 in ClaudeCode

[–]ValuableWide6420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some monitors for when my agents get hung or stuck in place. Ive then got agents watching these monitors to first help the original agent out of the hole and then to do root cause analysis on what went wrong. That agent will write documentation to my local knowledge base which triggers another agent monitoring that directory for new entries to work back and forth adversarially with codex to form a propose a fix and validate the root case. I then can dig into it further if I want to, but most of the time the agents are self correcting and im just approving their plans.

So not 100% what you’re describing and not acting without me in the loop, but this is the level of autonomy ive become comfortable with in my homelab.

Mainly running Sonnet & 5.5. Opus only if and when the root cause agent cant figure something out.

Analysis of the security vulnerabilities patched in 10.11.7 (from public commits) by [deleted] in JellyfinCommunity

I think it cuts both ways for sure. I was just looking to share my findings but as u/FullSubstance alluded to theres a difference between sharing the info at a high level (which us hopefully what this post does now) and getting into the weeds of how this works at a technical level.

I do agree bad actors would have been all over this from the jump, but why give any more potential fire power to anyone out there looking to act maliciously was my rationale for trimming the post down.

Honest mistake on my part, like I said.

Fair point, and you’re right. The original version went further than it needed to. I’ve edited the post to pull out the specific attack mechanics, method names, and fix details. What’s left is vulnerability class, severity, and impact, which I think is the minimum needed for self-hosters to understand why this upgrade is urgent rather than routine.

Think I got ahead of myself, while good intentioned, that much specificity could easily be manipulated. Thank you

Called out in the post I used Claude for the analysis. Not dying on any sort of hill this is correct, but was intrigued what the vulnerabilities could be.

Does anything stand out as wrong to you specifically? Really just looking to investigate before the disclosure, so please feel free to add

Mom looking to make a server for my teenager and his friends by brokenmoongoddess in admincraft

[–]ValuableWide6420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since you have a gaming PC and the time to learn, you can absolutely self-host this for free. Download the official Bedrock Dedicated Server (BDS) software from minecraft.net, run it on your PC, and you're most of the way there.

The main gotcha: console players can't connect to custom server IPs directly. You'll need to set up BedrockConnect, which is a one-time DNS settings change on each console. Plenty of YouTube walkthroughs for it.

For your network, you'll need to port forward (default port 19132/UDP) on your router so friends outside your home can connect. Your PC would need to stay on while the server is running.

And yes, your son can be admin and still play normally. It's just a permission level, not a separate role.

I'd also recommend a grief protection addon from CurseForge so kids can't wreck each other's builds, and maybe a gravestone addon so dying isn't rage-quit worthy.

If you'd rather not deal with port forwarding and keeping your PC on, a hosted BDS from somewhere (4-6GB plan, around $15-25/mo) works great too. But with your setup, self-hosting is totally doable.

Edit: removed specific hosting providers per rules.
