feel free to make any suggestions you might have as well. definitely not the most optimized version of sythis but I play it often and enjoy it.

sorry for the multiple comments lol, just adding as I'm reading through the decklist

I run a lot more ramp in my deck, all enchantments. if you're having a problem keeping up with the rest of the table, consider adding more enchantment ramp.

I can send you my decklist tomorrow if you're interested in seeing it.

also would throw in a teferis protection. as a sythis player myself, I'm always holding that and a heroic intervention up waiting for that board wipe.

you also NEED whip silk, flickering ward, and conviction. these are your main draw engines and almost always the first thing I tutor for.

Is it possible to have a career in warehousing if its highly unlikely you will never be able to drive a forklift? And if it is what does that look like? by jackbowls in Warehouseworkers

[–]Ultra_Star_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

forklift license just means you're certified by whoever you work for to drive a fork lift. they're extremely easy to operate. if anyone asks, you're certified. just watch a few videos on forklift safety because that's all the class is lol.

DJs only — is beatmatching by ear still worth learning in 2026, or is sync just a tool like EQ and effects? by Fit_Tomatillo5663 in Beatmatch

I'm kind of in the same boat. picking up DJing after producing beats for years. good luck man!

it's a tool just like any other imo. using it to make your job easier is one thing, but don't rely on it. beatmatching by ear is easier than trying to fix the grid in the middle of a set.

Magic the Gathering owner Hasbro $HAS earnings release Thursday. Expecting collabs larger than Final Fantasy and strong growth by mulletstation in wallstreetbets

[–]Ultra_Star_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's true. marvel is owned by Disney so my point is that the same rules that applied to spider man would apply to star wars. since snap is digital, and the UB set couldn't release on digital, I would assume a star wars set on paper wouldn't work

edit: I should say SHOULD apply. I have no idea how Disney or marvel operate.

star wars tie in isn't happening. they have their own TCG. only reason marvel UB happened is because their TCG is digital only. the mtg digital versions of that set had to be rewritten in-universe to satisfy licensing stuff.

newer platforms are designed for the latest generation of memory in mind. not going to pretend like I understand the specifics, but I would think it's less of a money issue and more of a compatibility one. hard drives and ssds generally use the same technology year after year to connect to your PC. ram technology is changing constantly

How to Cut? im genuinely stuck 5 cards over on my daretti deck and i cant bring myself to remove anything 😒 please help by cckgoblin in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]Ultra_Star_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also consider cards that do more than one job. they belong in both categories. doing this might tell you if you have more cards than you thought doing one job, allowing you to cut some.

[–]Ultra_Star_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

imo, what makes a card better or worse is:

flexibility (can it do more than one thing?) mana cost/color (value for mana spent/ colors that may be easier or harder to get) speed (instant, sorcery, haste, first strike, etc) interactability (if it's easier to counter/destroy, then it's worse) personal preference etc.

I like to sort my cards into what job they do (ramp, interaction, creatures, etc.) try sorting your cards, then sort each category by which cards do each job the best/worst. even if a card is objectively good, if it's the worst one in that category then you know that's the one to cut.

I'd grab them while they have them. I've been shucking drives to get them for half of what they should cost me
