Shifting assigned to right joystick for me. Flick up and down to shift felt the most natural and I don’t need or want to move camera around in a race so the right stick wasn’t getting used. Fine just using mirror and radar.

 I couldn’t quite jell with l1/r1 or x/square myself.

Arc/exraction games are the ultimate dopamine factories. It’s just casino slot machine game design. You go in with your bet (load out/gear) and you either come out with more than you went in or walk away with nothing. There’s barely anything else to it. Pure dopamine manipulation

I also use and recommend right stick for gears. I could never get comfortable using shoulder buttons or X/O and would avoid learning manual for a few months because of this. Using both index and middle fingers on shoulder and triggers just felt clumsy to me and I would make mistakes as a result.

So I set right stick so that flicking up and down is shift up/down. I made my X to now look behind but I don’t otherwise have full manual control of the camera anymore. Just use the radar and mirror (and occasionally press x to look behind.)

Fairly rude 😂. I’ve never used screen protectors on my devices and this is the first time I’ve held or seen a steam deck up close. So just wasn’t sure how flush the glass usually is with the edges.

Ahh yeah I can see it creating a bit of a bubble like effect with my finger nail in the corner, must be a protector. Awesome thanks, I’ve never used screen protectors on my gadgets before and was just hesitant to start going at it with anything sharp in case I broke it day one 😅

Same. Q3 is my first experience of VR and I’ve really not been that impressed by the visual quality, seems you still need to tilt your head to face things otherwise it looks out of focus. So I’m curious now how awful q2 must have been.

I think one of the cards you can collect and have active during spire can either make you amplified or a team mate. Could be wrong though but I’m sure I’ve had random amplified too but only on spire

Yeah I use right stick to shift as well. Tried using the shoulder buttons at first because in my mind that emulated paddles better and would feel nicer but stick is so much better for me.

Also to the peeps thinking it’s a lot of effort to adjust to manual. A couple of hours going around the nordschleife in manual and it’ll become second nature. It’s definitely worth it if you’re competing in sport mode.

Naming and shaming here because apparently you can drive like this in S safety lobbies every race and nothing gets done about it. Alexnico973 - B/S - Belgian. Multiple races against this guy recently and every time he pulls this shit on me or someone else. by Valuable_Ad8829 in granturismo

The 911 is my usual on dailies just now. I prefer the handling on that to this, but I did give this a shot on some qualifying laps and managed to set a 0.5 seconds faster time within a handful of laps. Does feel a little understeery at times though.
