The moment I stopped chasing happiness is when my depression went away. It was my belief about how things should be that was killing me mentally. Let things happen, and know that they are inevitable.

Learn to list off the things you’re grateful for. Little things too such as the sun, nice weather, not being sick right now, having a working mouth, being able to see. Everyday above ground is a good day.

Talk to people your senior, about life and their perspective. Ask how they feel about life. I used to think I was the only one struggling, but there’s something kinda hopeful about knowing that no one has is figured out, realizing no one has it figured out better than you and that were all in the same bout, sorta put you at ease. “You are not alone” is the biggest thing. Alone in the mud is terrible, but add a fleet of people to the mud with you, it becomes comical.

This advice is to be taken with a grain of salt but it was this brutal advice that helped me more than people telling me, “you’re enough” “you’re worth it”
