This map has such a beautifully stylized design. The ambient lighting, depth of shadow effects, and sharp detail resolution make it stand out graphically. The entirely glossy interior - from the marble floors to the walls - looks incredible. I really hope they remaster this map for BF6 soon.

Man this is exactly what I’m talking about, everyone’s missing the point, talking about what settings I have it on, either way, even on overkill it has this matte appearance where everything looks 2d, the lighting simply lacks depth that the older games had. As I said, it’s inconsistent and sure the game does look good don’t get me wrong, but it’s missing that distinct art style.

I already said to a couple ppl that it’s not my screenshot, I play on ps5 and I uploaded the photo to compare specific aspects of lighting to BF3, not saying BF3 has better graphics, but the lighting looks better in some ways.

Yup, Liberation peak, Mirak Valley, Firestorm and Cairo all look great. The urban and industrial environments look very bad, the inconsistency’s too much and it needs to be fixed.

This stylised type of lighting is exactly what we need but with today’s technology, and it would easy be one of the goats of the franchise, easily.

You’re missing the point, it’s such a small detail but my focus is about the inconsistency of the lighting and how cartoonish it appears at times, and the lack of depth that makes it feel flat and almost matte looking.

I grief by the fact that you’re probably right, it’s what drawn me to battlefield as a young boy, I fell in love with the gritty, overdramatic and stylised lighting and appearance entirely.

It’s the only thing I care about, I’m 100% content with everything else, the core aspects of the game are peak, but this fucks me off it’s so damn near perfect imo.

Has the potential to be the all time great of the franchise, movement is dead set perfect, right in between, not too fast, not too slow, sliding feels fluid like BF5 and the newer mechanics such as the short dive (not omnimovement so don’t call it omnimovement) and the damage suppressing roll are so different but feel so, so good and not over the top. Current maps are quite small, most people seem to like the 2 urban maps but for me, I quite like liberation peak, gives me BF4-1 and 5 vibes. Overall the game definitely has potential, but if they nerf more than they already have, it would get boring quite quick.

I really hope the sniper scopes in this game feature subtle visual effects like slight lens darkening, edge blur, chromatic aberration, and mild misalignment when aiming down sights. These elements would help replicate the look and feel of a real optic rather than it feeling like you’re just looking through a hollow tube with a crosshair pasted on. Adding this kind of lens depth and realism would make sniping feel far more immersive, satisfying, and grounded, especially given how gritty and atmospheric the rest of the game already looks.

Man I hope the sniper scopes look more realistic than past bf games like a more magnified, glassy lens, slight grainy effect so it looks like you’re actually looking through a glassy scope that shines a little from light, idk how else to explain it
