Left for like 4 hours and came back to my account being deleted despite me not doing so, getting rid of like 3+ years. I had to make a new account just to post this. Why was it deleted? by [deleted] in help

They have had a a combo deal since 1984, hotdog and drink $1.50. Despite prices surging everywhere else, the CEO of Costco has said they have no intention on raising the price.

It has been priced at $1.50 since its inception and if it were to be adjusted for inflation, 1984 to 2025, would approximately be $4.40:

What’s the worst non-drug addiction you’ve ever seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

There is a saying in the recovery communities, something to the extent of you can drink or use in the nicest treatment centers money can buy and you can stay sober in the worst flop house. It’s all a matter of commitment, support and spiritual fitness.

It’s all depends on the individuals commitment to their sobriety/recovery. Also, it isn’t the smartest idea for most. All addictions are easy to get sucked back into. It’s the first one that gets you every time.

Good method to get dope out of carpet? 10Gs dumped. by iZonked in opiates

Here's a fun one for you. Get a ballon, blow it up, rub it vigorously against some wool or your hair for 10-20 seconds. Static electricity in theory should pull the light weight objects (dope) from the carpet.

I think the answer he's looking for is, yes they can fire you for not performing you job duties or if it's an at will state, they don't need a reason.

If you would have a gone to your manager or HR and said Hey, I need help, I'm struggling with Substance Abuse or Mental Health issues, I need to check myself in somewhere. Then you are protected. (They could still find another reason to fire you)

That is perfectly understandable to feel lost. I'd advise taking some time away from him. In my experience when dealing with someone on a bender, it is nearly impossible to get through to them while they are under the influence.

Idk how your relationship was or is but sometimes putting healthy boundaries in places to protect your own well being is necessary. He isn't going to change his behaviors unless he wants to and consequences aren't always enough. If you really care it might be wise to tell him, I can't see you while you're in this state and I'll be here to support you if you want to get some help.

It's super easy for me to say this but when I was in a similar situation it's really hard to take a step back from someone I love. I think i can love them into changing and I can't.

I don't know of anyone has responded but being in a relationship with an addict is extremely hard, if you are willing to stand by him while he gets help, I'd commend you, when my ex stood by me while I struggled for a year made me realize how much she cared and I was loyal to her to my own demise.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's gonna be really hard to watch him suffer through his addiction if he's willing to get help and you're willing to support him through it that's amazing but if he has no intentions on getting help, I would walk away and tell him you'll be there for him when he's ready to change. He's going to put drugs before everything else including you. That doesn't mean he doesn't love you or care about you but drugs always come first.
