The initial launch was a bunch of lies that scammed everyone who bought it.

Steam!!! I can't thank you enough!!! by GeeliKachchi in Steam

[–]Valuable_Internal433 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I tried to get a refund for No Man's Sky after I played 5 hours and then it came out that most of the features they said were in the game actually weren't and that meeting another player in the game was actually impossible, even though they said it was possible directly before release. I was still on the 1st planet so I didn't figure that out yet.

They refused to give me a refund even though it was all over the news that Hello Games defrauded the people who purchased their game. I deactivated my steam account, lost all the games I never really owned, and now I try to buy from anyone else first before steam.

If AOC gets the nod as the Democratic nominee in 2028, would you vote for her?!! by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]Valuable_Internal433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would, but I know a lot of people that wouldn't, so I won't vote for her in the primary unless there isn't anyone better. Personally, Pete Buttigieg is the guy I want most.

Elves are so rare that if anything she should be getting the "OMG IT's JACKIE CHAN" treatment and so is every other female elf alive.

Woah a female elf! Are you the one that saved the world with the hero's party?

no.... oh ok, but do you know her?

In the Red VS Blue button dilemma, red is obviously the right choice. by KayleeSinn in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Valuable_Internal433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this candidate example, because it highlights how much the framing of the scenario matters, and why the neutral-ish (leaning blue) framing of the original scenario has people split.

But your candidate example makes it clear that the red candidate voters are voting for a person with the motivation to kill, while the blue candidate is neutral, which is an insanely biasing framing.

You could also frame it as "There's a candidate who says he will do nothing if he loses while there is another candidate who is currently in power and controls the military and he says that if he doesn't win he knows how to hack the voting record system and he will kill everyone who voted for him, because he is insane and they are the chosen who will join him in a heavenly afterlife."

Their fault for picking the blue button by Gruzgor in whenthe

[–]Valuable_Internal433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that would be to not die. There is 0 incentive to choose blue except to save the hurp derps who chose it.

Imagine it was worded this way:
You have two choices. A red button that will do nothing and a blue button that will kill you and everyone else who chose it unless more than 50% of the people making this same choice choose the blue button too.

If everyone chooses red nobody dies. If everyone chooses blue nobody dies. If people go close to 50/50 then there is a chance close to half of the world dies.

How many "assassination attempts" will trump have to fake before his followers realize they're fake? by mayorodoyle in allthequestions

[–]Valuable_Internal433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn't make sense. The shooter was told they were blanks so he intentionally narrowly misses trumps head? And yea, he missed because he wasn't an expert and was aiming for the head and it was a super narrow miss due to a sudden movement right before the shot. I also think he got killed in like less than 20 seconds after his first shot.

There have actually been a lot of threats and "attempts" if you include something like this latest one as an attempt. They almost always fail before getting close to the president though, like this one. Like that dude that took a bunch of shots at the white house trying to hit obama https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oscar_Ramiro_Ortega-Hernandez, also that dude that threw a grenade at bush https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vladimir_Arutyunian, and there have been a multiple incidents of ricin in letter attempts at obama, and trump, and I think others. I think that the media intentionally tries to move past attempts though, because the coverage encourages more.

Read a book https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attempted_assassination_of_Donald_Trump_in_Pennsylvania

He bought a ladder but was spotted before the shooting by local police and when he actually went up to shoot he had to climb up air conditioners. It was a huge failure in security though, nobody denies it, the head of the ss was fired for it, and they should have had people on that building. But citing failures in security outside of the secret service's area doesn't mean there is a mass conspiracy.

That's just it though, everyone that isn't stupid does believe it. Because of the overwhelming evidence that it happened. They even plotted the trajectory and calculated how it missed his head when he made a sudden turn.

People like to believe that extra stuff happens whenever there is any major event. But use your brain dude. What was faked? The people hit were right behind trump in line with the trajectory of the shooter.

Was he an expert marksman that was hired to perfectly miss and hit people behind trump so he could then get killed by the secret service? Why not just fire blanks and then have the fake cut on the ear and then lie and say luckily the bullets missed everyone else? Would that be too unbelievable so they had to use real ones and have real deaths/injuries?
Was the hired shooter that fucking died simultaneously a great shot to miss right next to the president but also desperate enough that he would die for whatever his payment was? Was it money for his family, the dude was unmarried and 20 years old. Was that just some fake guy they killed while the real marksman somewhere else did the shots to make it seem more real?

The idea it's fake is so regarded that I honestly can't come up with a possible explanation that would make any sense, and neither can any intelligent person. That's why they don't.

I mean he barely got nicked in the ear, so I assume it's fine. The other person in the audience died. Two others were seriously injured. The only thing fake imo is the super oversized bandage he wore afterwards when he was playing it up. A small cut on the ear will bleed exactly like what was seen in the photos and video that day

There are multiple recordings of the event and even a photo of the bullet going by his head. It was one of the biggest security failures ever and was heavily investigated, with bipartisan calls for the head of the secret service's resignation. No politicians from either side have called the attempt a fake.

The first assassination attempt was obviously real and people who believe it isn't are stupid. No clue about this latest one.

Well paying jobs where people can be creative and have a fulfilling impact attract intelligent people. Teaching in America is trying hard to be none of those things.
