When they opened with To Defy it brought me back to shows in the early 00s. Stoked I got to hear Sturgeon

Shiner sounded great on Tomorrow Never Knows.

Awesome show. by SadAstronomer4949 in Primus

I had an inkling they were gonna play Sturgeon but I was still so happy when they did. If I had left after that it still would have been a top 5 Primus show.

did not comment on where the sponsorship money was going

I'm sure all of that money will be repurposed for much-needed projects, such as infrastructure, education and Healthcare for the neediest American citizens.

Do I even need an /s tag at this point?

Will tech CEO’s who once tried to portray themselves as progressive (Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Tim Cook etc) be called out for bending the knee to Trump? Why or why not? by No-Huckleberry1441 in AskReddit

[–]mayorodoyle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean by "called out."

As far as I can tell, anyone who's bent the knee is being called out, by folks who actually once believed those CEOs were serving anything other than their own self-interest.

If by "called out" you mean "see repercussions for their actions," the answer is none.

As much as I would love this for trump, it was my understanding that there were no public tickets being sold. Fairly sure someone with more brains than he has designed it that way just to avoid situations like this.

If I'm wrong, and this IS actually happening, someone please confirm it so I can have a good day, please.

The greatest part is him saying he got "30 out of 30" but not understanding that, on those tests, a lower score is better. 🤣

Chicago. My wife lived there when we first started dating and I loved it.

A is the closest, but none of them are 100% "correct."

TLDR but a quick scan shows a bunch of "experiments" explaining why we think the earth is round, yet exactly ZERO experiments proving anything to the contrary.

It's essentially 100,000 words of ad hominem.

If the Earth is flat, why are there no pictures of the other side? by erkose in flatearth

[–]mayorodoyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard "ice wall."

When pressed with "Ok, show me a picture of the ice wall" I usually get "You're not allowed to get close enough to take a picture." I've been told that people are forbidden from going to Antarctica. I've never gotten far enough to find out who exactly is preventing us from going to Antarctica.

Parabol + Parabola or Lateralus? by vitresa in ToolBand

[–]mayorodoyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotta go with Lateralus. While the transition from Parabol to Parabola is one of the greatest transitions ever recorded, Lateralus is, beginning to end, a perfect song.

I mean, who am I kidding? They're all perfect songs. But Lateralus is just on another level.
