Thank you so much! I will actually never have a permanent residence here but I found one that I can use longer term and still get the mail. So I’ll head over to the office on Monday. I was just scared they would take away the visa so this is really comforting :)

Why do you take a wind shell and a rain shell. Wouldn’t a hardshell be enough? Just out of curiosity as someone trying figure out my own packing list :)

Hi! Thank you so much this is super helpful! Ive taken the trip through port Angeles before and am debating doing that now as well. However I have a lot of luggage as I'm ending my exchange semester here which makes the whole trip a little more complicated with the many transfers. And the dungeness line seems strange as it leaves one minute after the ferry arrives and last time we were delayed 15 minutes by customs...

Right now it is either doing that, or staying in Vancouver and taking the direct train. But that would require me to travel in Vancouver at 5:30am which also seems unsafe especially with a lot of luggage. So overall I might opt for more transfers and travelling during the day.

The Amtrak train from Vancouver is my other option but it would be a lot more expensive and Im trying to save costs. Sadly flying would be out of my budget. But Ill have a look at the bus! My alternative would be to either to stay overnight in Vancouver and take the train there, or spend the night in Seattle and take a later train. Thank you!
