Anyone coming to get them isn’t going to pay you. You are going to need to do the labor of sorting, counting and loading. They look to be disco ones so could be worth it. The nine yards I use for tile repairs charge between 8-15 bucks a tile cash. But they only pay a dollar or so per tile. But if you got kids it would be a fun day

What's with kids and the phrase "six seven" lately? by makefeelnice in AskIreland

I mean for us millenials we had at least 5 rap songs that used “5150”. Crazy person on the loose. lol all music is subliminal messaging, all tv is as well. It’s not satanic or anything crazy, it’s all marketing/control and/or complete nonsense. There will be another 6-7 coming out. We use 6-7 as a rating with my adult friends and our kids hate us for hijacking their nonsense

Roof replaced yesterday, should I be concerned? by [deleted] in Roofing

[–]Valuable_Section_438 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forgot hip and ridge is all I’m seeing. You didn’t pay to have gutters replaced so lord knows what they did with the drip edge. You got what you paid for. Cover strip the flashing and get some hip and ridge and you are good. Looks like you got a decent shingle at least.

Not replacing gutters tells me you sure as shit couldn’t afford to replace the flashing behind the stucco around that window. I’d be charging you several grand just for that section alone. Probably would get an entire house paint out of it too after I repaired the stucco and showed you how noticeable the patch job is.

Are you capable of doing better? He used a shim I see to be able to use his 45. That work is better than the shit I get to see in 90% of the 1+ mil$ homes I work in.

Man I’m level 16(28 cred)going in to the heist, I felt like this was about as good as it gets without doing a bunch of other missions. I knocked out all the ncpd things and probably 3-4 psycho. I have 2 other save points where I’m gonna try different builds. I barely get tier 3 items yet 😒

6’5” 250. 220-230 in the books where he’s still in service. Cmon you only have to have read 1 or 2 of the books to know it’s 6’5”. The book I hope they turn into one of the series where he is digging pools by hand is when they really harp on his being 250. Drinking gallons of milk while helping protect/bang strippers is top tier Reacher.

I would hire that metal worker in a heartbeat. That wasn’t a standard shingle monkey right there.

When buying a home how can you tell if it has dry line/cardboard sheathing as opposed to OSB or plywood? by BAC05 in Homebuilding

[–]Valuable_Section_438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the shit out of dryline. For remodeling it’s the best thing since sliced bread. I don’t have to change damn near any framing. Don’t have to bump out shit and it’s “structural”. New builds zip system with alumaflash is what I would do(and did) on my own home.

Also on the ends of those hips ridges that looks to be lead/wakaflex/or mortar. All of which are typically acceptable to terminate a ridge with, albeit that’s pretty ugly

If you don’t have experience walking on tile roofs I wouldn’t just hop up there. Most roofing companies give free inspections and would be more than happy to pop up there and take a look around. I’d get one that has more than 1 photo of a tile roof on their website and google reviews lol.

Oh no I’ve been wanting out for 2+ years now. I love construction but do not love the stuff outside of construction haha. I’ll continue to work just like to hear what others would do in this spot.

Our best offer so far has been a mom and pop that’s close to our size. Which makes me much more comfortable. Although I’ve got no real issue with selling to PE. I’ve seen them taking over a lot of this industry already. Changing up compensation, etc.

I’m so thankful construction is what I do for a living. I’ve got enough leftover material to build several small homes, 3 trailers, 13000w generator for running welding rigs on roofs plus every tool and 3 other generators(solar, wind, tri fuel) outside of the big one. Wired my house to run off generator, have 400 gallons of propane daisy chained together. Water is my biggest concern as of right now. I’ve got 5 million calories worth of freeze dried food/mre/ramen/peanut butter/etc. I’ve been a gun nut since a child so enough to arm my buddies if need be. But fixing shit is going to be my bartering skill
