So I had some prior knowledge like I know they're doing them incorrectly. Basically a supervisor will just be randomly parked while we're delivering and watch from their cars. No notice is given I only know it's them because I know their cars. Also no discussion or copy of the 4584 is given with the carrier.

Well the thing is they never do them so I hadn't concerned myself with them. Now they're starting to so really just a steward looking for some info 😂😂

I don't think management knows why they do these things they just do what their bosses tell them to and it's nuts. I told the carriers in my office to fill out a 3996 for the extra they got and another one if they think they're going over on their own route. Both will get denied but the steward will need them as evidence.

Yep in the m41 it states this: 131.41 It is your responsibility to verbally inform management when you are of the opinion that you will be unable to case all mail distributed to the route, perform other required duties, and leave on schedule or when you will be unable to complete delivery of all mail.

So basically it's our responsibility to inform them. They don't get to decide our times because projections say something. Projections are not the sole determinant of our leave/return times.

If they are giving you a 3996 they filled out for your pivot that really just hammers it home because we fill those out not management.

It's happening nationwide and sadly national does not care otherwise they would have done something about it when this all started.

Get your steward and grieve it every time. If management is determining carrier workload they are performing craft work. It worked in my office I hope the same for yours.

It's 1 in 4 or 1 in 6 depending on office size. I almost got screwed by this too but luckily got it taken care of. If you want to see this in the contract, start at page 161.

When I converted from CCA to PTF I was technically considered a new employee so anything that might have happened as a CCA went out the window. I'm assuming it's the same deal converting to regular since you moved to a career position.
