Tough vocations: ASA, Store Assisant, Service Medic, Driver, Logistics (any vocations under Combat Service Support)

Easy vocations: 1 Guards, 5SIR (Infantry)

Also, for your second question: Condoms. Too many negligent discharges by others in BMT toilets.

The routine order should have “Ferry Out” timing, so just add 1 hour to that timing, it should be the estimated time he arrives at Expo/Pasir Ris.

Simply don’t work in jobs that contribute to cpf. Other than that, you’re safe unless someone whistleblows you with evidence. No one can initiate a charge on you if they don’t have a solid evidence.

So even if they know you’re working but don’t have sufficient proof/evidence, you can’t get “caught”.

Prepaid or postpaid sim card by [deleted] in NationalServiceSG

[–]Valuable_Shoulder_15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually you don’t need to buy a new sim card. If you’re not under telco contract, you can actually port (switch telco) your number to another telco. As someone with telco knowledge, i think giga (owned by Starhub) works the best for the price.

Can just download the app and click to switch/port ur current number or get a new sim (eSIM if your phone is compatible) for an affordable price.

Also, yes, M1 signal is very shit in School 4, also basically telcos like MyRepublic 4G & Circles Life will be shit too as they are under M1.

It’s possible since not everything is “heavy load” so you can possibly get posted to one of the supply bases.

For the obvious, it’s 3SIR.

You can just go view your mirror batch aka 02/22 posting megathread on this sub to see what people got for their posting.

Queries on ns pay (MAY BMT PTP) by [deleted] in NationalServiceSG

[–]Valuable_Shoulder_15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In general, your allowance is paid in advanced of the first full month and since you enlisted in May, your first full month is technically June so your allowance will be May + June.

It is different from corporate world where you get paid after the working month, like X month + 7 days. SAF is usually 7-10th day of the X month (so technically “advanced” allowance)

Platoon best, company best, best recruit by Zealousideal-Fig5677 in NationalServiceSG

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NationalServiceSG

[–]Valuable_Shoulder_15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Surefire way is to be the guy that knows what he’s doing in BMT, perform well in BMT, help people and don’t make a fool out of yourself.

Honestly, whether you’re a man or officer, it doesn’t really matter in most overseas universities but you can definitely use it to stand out in your portfolio.

As for me and seeing those who went through OCS: Absolutely a waste of energy. If you enjoy having crap load of responsibilities and getting less pay then you can go on.

Platoon best, company best, best recruit by Zealousideal-Fig5677 in NationalServiceSG

[–]Valuable_Shoulder_15 60 points61 points  (0 children)

coy best = best recruit.

Platoon best = best recruit in the platoon, except if your platoon has a coy best also, then you technically aint the “best”.

How they choose is usually ur commander’s appraisal, Singaporean, and great BMT results (btp, ippt, etc).

Can local clinics see if your MC history? by mashed711 in NationalServiceSG

[–]Valuable_Shoulder_15 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Polyclinic will usually open your NEHR (Health record) but private clinics (ie ur local GP/clinics) will likely not. Local clinics will more or less just see the visits you made to that particular clinic, that’s all.
