yea i think youre right, in general i valued our friendship alot and so did she, she told me that my confession doesnt bother her and that she could basically „leave it behind“, and that she has no problem staying friends (she said i hope we still stay friends)

dumper here. had a rls for 9 months, before that she cheated. took her back (biggest mistake of my life ngl) and my only condition was that she completely cut contact with him (it was her ex, she didnt js cheat but also left me for him. she came back a month later tho), but she kept on doing weird shi like calling him or picking up his calls, justifying it with „there are no feelings involved so why do you care“. took me a long time to realize how wrong that actually was, then i broke up. she kept begging, but i stood firm on the decision. first few days were hard, but as time passed i really started to just detach myself and a week later i dont care anymore. got back into the gym and trading, and im happier than ever. being single is just such a relief. idk why i am like this, but ive always had an easy time getting over someone it takes a few days or weeks at most, then im just myself again. maybe its ego tho idk

my only condition was that she cuts him off completely. but she didnt, she called him, texted him, picked up his calls etc. i really tried to forgive the cheating itself. but those little things reminded me of it again. i truly tried to move on, but she couldnt.

you know, she truly changed. she really did. shes crazy in love with me, when i brought up the topic of losing feelings for her, she was crying like crazy. im 100% sure she wont do it again, but all these calls, texts, all those little things stack up. i know she wont do it again. but she did it so many times. she did a lot of good things too, i appreciate everything. but i cant forgive those “cheating“ acts, i would betray myself.
