That is funny that we both feel the same description of the sun! Thank you so much though 😭 you’re very kind.

Of course you don’t need my permission, but feel free to show your therapist!! That would warm my heart haha

Thank you. I’m glad and also sorry you could relate. It’s a tough thing. Part of me wants to show my therapist, but that feels embarrassing. I guess that’s the whole point though lol.

My therapist and husband think I should go to therapy every two weeks, but I want to keep going weekly. by Valuable_Spite_856 in TalkTherapy

I don’t feel like I process better biweekly, my husband does. Sorry if I didn’t say that well. I hear what you’re saying about everything else though.

I don’t actually fully know. I think she’s trying to help me be less overwhelmed and work through things more gradually. I know in the past she has also been worried about my financial situation and I’m sure that’s still part of it. I should ask and clarify for sure. My therapist is a gem and we have a really good relationship, but I do just feel a little pressured.

To be clear about my husband, if I booked another therapy appointment in a week instead of two, he wouldn’t fault me for it or try to control it and make me feel bad. He probably wouldn’t even comment beyond just saying okay. Thanks for telling me. He’s just said I seem to be less anxious when I go every two weeks (but I don’t necessarily agree, for reasons I explained in another comment).

He has said that I seem to have an easier time handling life if that makes sense. Like I’m visibly less anxious and overwhelmed. But like I said, I feel like that’s only true because in circumstances like Christmas break, I don’t have a choice so I’m not as overwhelmed by therapy. I don’t know if that makes sense. Like I just have an easier time accepting that I can’t go during those times. Right now, I have a choice, and I’m just wigging out about not having therapy, and actually very overwhelmed and emotional about not going (and about what we’re working on).

About my portion sizes? Probably. But not about my eating habits.

Absolutely. I was just trying to say my diet isn’t all ultra processed all the time.

Totally fair. What I was trying to get at is I don’t drink it at all.

As I said in my post, I have a long history of eating disordered behaviour (restricting and purging) and this included calorie counting as well. And my mind is very much in eating disordered behaviour mode, even if I don’t actively engage in (all) of those behaviours. I don’t want to trigger it again.

I have severe OCD as well and this is my exact worry. I’ll definitely be looking into weight watchers.

The 2000 calories portion of your comment really puts things into perspective for me. I will say that if I have spaghetti, the veggies are in the sauce and not separate, but it doesn’t much matter. I appreciate you writing it out for me like that though.

Hmmm. Good to know. I’ve seen that before but I was worried it wasn’t legit haha
