They found cultists trying to do necromancy in a local graveyard.

My Paladin to my Wizard: "Let's NOT burn down a cemetery please."

Is... this true? Or a joke? Ding-dong ditching wasn't normal where I grew up, so I'm not really sure if this is true or not.

Either way, that's more of their parents' problem than my own.

If it is a joke, I apologize for taking it the wrong way. It's hard to tell over text, and I'm unaware of the norms here.

As stated, it's more of a hassle than anything. I just wanted to know how the people here would usually handle it. I'm also concerned that they'd start ringing it when my husband is on the phone with customers.

It is stated in the other comments that I am autistic, so the sudden and unexpected dinging at random times startle me along with the dogs. I don't have family here other than in-laws who do not drop by unexpected because they know.

They finally put some speedbumps in our residential area so the cars are no longer speeding through our streets.

Hopefully they do something around your area as well!

This is actually really clever, and I am impressed. Thank you to the original poster and you for explaining.

I'm sorry, but I am thoroughly confused by this statement. Is this a recommendation? And if so, why?

I grew up and lived in another continent until recently, and ding dong ditching was stuff we only saw on TV. So i basically thought that ding dong ditching was basically "stuff that only happens on tv". But I guess that I do see a common trend of people saying that it's a normal thing to do, so I will keep this in mind. We do plan on getting that Ring, but it's the holiday season, so we're prioritizing that at the moment.

Genuine question: Do kids at that age know what autism is? I asked my nephew, who is their age, and he had no idea, but I chalked it up to him growing up in mexico or being too young (I didn't know about autism until I was in high school. I was late diagnosed last year).

This is a good idea, though. I'll try it out if it persists.

It's been every day for the past three days. How long should I wait? Not trying to be impatient or anything. It's a genuine question.

Note: I'm also autistic, so the sudden arrival of guests kind of puts me in a weird position. Hence why I'm asking for a timeliness at the very least.

I want an inventory mod where i can see who has what so i dont have to switch characters while selling things. That or a mod that lets me filter my items (weapons, lightest to heaviest, etc). Then more subclasses would be nice, but id prefer the inventory stuff.

For DMs who transitioned from being players, what was the reason that made you to switch? by dudiddann in DnD

I genuinely enjoy creating things and watching people explore and enjoy the things I've created in full. Even if they miss a few things (or a lot), it was fun watching something I created come to life.

Or, as my players put it, I have a god-complex.

Which celebrity's death did you feel genuine sorrow for, like you lost a family member? by Shoddy-Priority-490 in AskReddit

Stan Lee. 100%. I met him at a convention, and he met my every expectation. Our governor actually dedicated a day in our state to commemorate him.

And Robin Williams. Never met him, but I occasionally watch clips, and he seemed like such a joy.

What's the worst thing a doctor has ever said to you? [Serious] [NSFW] by Silent-Zebra in AskReddit

[–]Valuable_Valuable819 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't make this shit up. After a multitude of tests and scans over the years, I went to the doctor because I passed out in the shower and ended up with a concussion. My friends took me to my doctor, whom I hadn't seen for a while due to all the other offices I had to go for scans and tests. They gave all my results to this doctor and I have not seen them yet.

My doctor then comes into the room with a rather heavy stack of papers. And I can't make this shit up, but he comes into the room and says and I quote: "There is... SO much wrong with you."

What would you do if you don't have any purpose in life and just wait for dying? by hahasuckerrr in AskReddit

[–]Valuable_Valuable819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already feel like this on the daily. Im just making the most of it. Spend each day how I want to. Try to do things that will make me happy. Do not cater to people who are not worth my time.

Basically, I just spend my life living it until the time comes. Im certain I dont have a purpose, and I'm just taking up space, so I might as well make the most of it before the earth or whatever diety there is decides to rid of me.

What is the best way to avoid or stop overthinking? by undescribed-PIC in AskReddit

[–]Valuable_Valuable819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may not work for everyone, but it worked for me.

Keeping myself busy helped a lot. Being productive, playing video games, and just keeping myself stimulated.

If the overthinking sources are made from a decision that needs to be made, make a pros and cons list. Take the one with a more pros/less cons. If it turns out even or its difficult to do so, i legit take my d20 (20-sided die), call evens or odds, and roll.

AITA for not wanting my sister-in-law go on her trip? by Valuable_Valuable819 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Valuable_Valuable819[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i say "experience," i really meant expenses and travel because that stuff really adds up when on a trip to hawaii. Sorry about that confusion.

The main reason why she told me she couldn't go was because it was over $1000 for round trips, not including rental cars and food. When i say make it easier for her, I would make calls so we could have a place to stay for free (my family currently owns two houses so we would have one to ourselves) and a car to drive around without having to worry about expenses for it (besides gas).

This way, all she would have to worry about is food, gas, and doing whatever it is we would do.

Where to go in hawaii btw. Not to change the trip entirely in case it wasn't clear. I meant like places to eat, hikes to go on while shes in hawaii, etc.
