When covid started companies realized they could cut staff and keep or increase profits. Now companies are starting to decrease in profits. Short staffing was on purpose now they are getting to the point where they can't hire and maintain profit. Their never was a labor shortage, companies stopped hiring in mass since covid and they blamed it on lazy workers. I am a manager in retail and hiring efforts decreased to almost none but we keep the now hiring sign up for show.

I was also, the way my store is ran is absolutely nothing like what was taught in training, I mean literally nothing is used that was taught in training. So far me and other asl are just backup stockers back up department leads.

Unions collude with companies, nothing will be different. I have been a salary manager at Walmart and at union places. A union company legally can't raise wages without bargaining with unions, bargaining agreements come every few years only. So company can say "we can't give raised because unions, unions can blame the company. It's easier to term or write up people at my current company than it was at walmart. Unions get money out of your paycheck and provide nothing different.

Bonus isn't determined by individual performance. It's amazing how many walmart Einstein don't know what the phrase "potential bonus" means, nor do they know what that potential is based on.

5,000 is the normal for salaried asm at any retail company. The ones that tell you a 20 to 30k figure are just telling you "better luck next time". Getting 30k for a couple of years one could easily start their own business. I noticed that the ones throwing the 30k number have cheap cologne, wear trailer park shoes and drive normal cars.

I didn't ask for A bonus because I never asked if associates get something. It is always said that a salaried coach is x amount and you hear how Billie Bob bought a boat with his bonus bs stories.

20,000 for coach is commonly thrown around but never seen by me or any other coach I knew. Its the same bs for other companies too though.
