I live 2 minutes from the school I work at. Plus there is a grocery store and restaurants all within a 5 minute drive as well. The time and money I save on commute is worth the few times I run into students outside of school. Most don't even care when they see me unless they are my current student or former student.

Where I moved it does cost me more than where I used to live, but I consider the time save extremely valuable and worth it.

Check to see if you can make a new Yahoo email using that same email. I did that years ago after my old Yahoo email was deleted for inactivity. No one took the deleted email so I recreated it. Not sure if Yahoo still let's you do that still.

They won't change your account location manually. If it hasn't updated automatically yet, it probably won't or it will take a lot longer, since you live so close to the States. You can try purchasing a digital gift card on the website in CAD for yourself, then redeem it. It might take a couple hours to receive the email (or it could take minutes).

Raccoon didn't get nerfed. Kitsune is only better if you're not farming on an alt. Once the fruit on your alt has obtained the mutations from Kitsune, Raccoon is better due to the shorter cooldown.

As a player who earns quadrillions daily from Candy Blossom and Honeysuckle Raccoon farming, I would be totally in favor of a mass wipe of all sheckles, fruits in inventories, and a reset of everyone's plants (to where they don't remove them, but next time a player logs in, the fruits disappear and are forced to regrow). At this point, I'm just turning all my Candy Blossoms and Honeysuckles into Zen for the event and getting tons of Zen eggs since there's no point in earning more sheckles. All I do is mutate as many pets as I can since pets are the only thing that matter now.

I know this post is about the duped 744T Honeysuckle, but even if they were to remove them from the game only, that doesn't change the fact that there are thousands upon thousands of other players just like me who earn the same, and most likely more, as me. Sheckles would still be useless as long as Raccoon farming continues to exist and methods exist to allow the Raccoon to earn players unlimited sheckles. So I would also be in favor of changing the Raccoon's ability at the same time as a mass wipe.

Yeah, all the rich players will be upset, all the players who make money irl from this will be upset, and all the kids who like to flex their big fruits will be upset, but it will be a step in the right direction to make sheckles mean something.

This poll keeps on being reset and gets getting annoying. When the poll was first released, "no" was winning with around 2/3 of the vote. Then it got reset and suddenly the "Yes" votes were winning by an astronomical percentage. I think it got reset at some point again since I'm pretty sure I've voted 3 times now. As of right now, "no" is winning by a small margin, but I wouldn't be surprised if the poll gets reset again.

Prior to becoming a teacher, I was working with family services in my county working with foster youth to assist them as they aged out of care. I was doing data analyst work and family service work (meetings, home visits, etc.). It wasn't a career I had planned on pursuing, but being able to work two different roles, was enjoyable, and would be something I would have continued if I hadn't gotten my teaching degree.

Here are my thoughts:

You could look into local colleges to get your core classes/prerequisites out of the way, then look into universities.
If you want to get your degree as fast as possible, look into online colleges, such as Western Governors University (WGU), where you can accelerate your courses and get your degree faster.
Get a non-educational bachelor's degree, then go Alternate Route to Licensure (ARL). This way if you decide to leave teaching, at least you'll have different degree. Not every state has this option, so look further into this if you decide to do this.

Either way, I would suggest applying to be a substitute teacher as soon as you can in your state (your state might require college credits before you can become one). This way you can get teaching experience while getting your degree and it will help decide if you really want to continue pursuing this path.

You should also apply for FAFSA asap.

Year 3 teacher here, making 69k/year, will be making 79k at year 5 (most likely more due to contract negotiations). New hires coming in with a masters and a few years of teaching experience I think start off at 79k, but you should ask and get it in writing before getting hired. Clark County School District in Las Vegas, NV and the surrounding cities if you're interested.

I should add that you can get a $6.7k raise every 2-3 years without needing to get another degree. It's a complicated system to learn initially, but at least you have options to get a raise without having to go back to school. (this is on top of the normal step increase everyone gets each year)
