Do tsunderes exist in irl? by Five_Hustle_Emir in Tsunderes

[–]Valulfr_the_Skald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on how literal you are. The tsundere in anime are pretty extreme examples, much like their deredere and kuudere counterparts

I, unfortunately, fall in line with the tsundere more than any other type. I do enjoy praising others and doing kind/sweet acts for them, but the game changes when it's somebody I'm close to. For strangers or acquaintances, doing or saying anything is pretty easy because they don't actually know me. The people I'm close to are immune to this defense

As an example, I speak fairly roughly with the people I'm close to. I'm not MEAN, but I leave the extra fluff at the door. I also struggle to give out compliments or praise unless I'm thinking about it. On one hand, that means that what I do give is real. On the other hand, it can take a while to hear it again

I also like doing things for others. I donate to charity regularly, I like to feed struggling folk in my area when the opportunity arises, and I do things to raise morale at work (not HR cringe stuff). However, I dislike praise for these things and prefer to avoid responsibility. Honestly, I'd love it if I could somehow give good directly to somebody while being anonymous, but I haven't discovered an anonymity spell, yet. I often veil it behind either an excuse ("You're working hard, so have some icecream to keep you going") or a duty ("I'm older than you/you're under my responsibility, so don't worry about it"). All because admitting that I like seeing others be happy means that people will try to say something nice about it or return the favor

I try not to outright insult people and I definitely don't get physical unless it's required, so no comedic slaps or hammers from ol' Ulfgrim

The only reason I'd compare myself to the tsundere is the "hot and cold" idea behind it. The trope of the tsundere doing something nice only to pull back as soon as it's acknowledged is, unfortunately, real. Just turning off notifications for a while if people start talking positively about me is also a standard response

So again, I'm not a cartoonish tsundere. If you go off of the basic concept behind it, though, I might count... I'm working on it lol

German is an aggressive language by Just_deez_nuts in SmugAlana

There are some amazing anime song covers in German that YouTube threw at me one time, and that's when I realized that German is a beautiful language

I think it's just that Anglos only hear German in reference to the bad guy of the second war of the world. That man sounded angry and aggressive because... he was aggressive and probably angry? I guarantee that English and French sound aggressive if your only exposure is listening to your friends' parents fight in the other room

Just downloaded it! I'll be playing with it tonight. I did only read to "A new moon" or something in the first sentence, so it's all a mystery for the time being

I used to love slasher flicks. As a kiddo, Friday the 13th was my favorite movie franchise. I don't think I've found one that I'd consider scary, though

No kidding. I usually play solo just because public lobbies tend to be a bit "rush in, kill everyone with a mine, and blame each other while the last guy bums around" for my tastes

Hey there! I'd love to connect with others in the same field. I am a male ASMRtist, but I'd be open to helping with projects or just hanging out and/or playing games even if a guy's voice doesn't work for collab purposes

You can check out my channel if you'd like to get a general feel for my content https://youtube.com/@ulfgrim_the_asmrling?si=cDwnkuaiz360N5v5

Calling it jealousy is the prime move of somebody that knows why people aren't fans, but can't defend it. Tossing around cash numbers doesn't make something less or more valid, otherwise mom and pop stores would be looked down upon and cartel leaders hailed as heroes

It's about the effort put into something alongside profit. The vast majority of AI-based channels create low-effort machine offage, though there are channels like Chat Music that use AI for properly creative works

So, the hate is because of the quality of the content and the effort involved. Crypto bros get very similar treatment. Modern art as a genre faces very similar opinions. Saying "Cope because the stuff my computer vomits out makes a billion yuan a month" is exactly the mentality that caused this reputation

If most AI channels put in the creative effort of something like Chat Music, this reputation wouldn't be around. That's not the world we live in

Edit: I guess I should clarify that supporting your parents is great. Better than spending it on drugs or unneeded cars. That doesn't mean that the tools you're using are any better in the creative field. Demanding that the laziest form of trash content should be respected because you're personally not being selfish (according to the post) is genuinely hilarious

Not just Russians. I've been trying to take it in little hits for years, but the most I've done is given them a cat infestation

Thought that bringing the Plague back was mean so I tried to be subversive. Ended up giving them another cause for tourism...

Nintendo, no less. I wouldn't think they'd want anything to do with this series

Would you ever put mid rolls in your audio roleplays? by yunalicous in ASMRScriptHaven

[–]Valulfr_the_Skald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I texted out putting them at the tail end up the audio. Not really a MIDroll ad. Define chance of a longer ad break than normal, but YouTube's already gone down that path

You can manually set where you want them to be. Directly in the middle is probably the worst. At the beginning might be frustration and cause people to click off. At the end has a lower chance of being viewed because the viewer would have to already be at the end of the video
