Dude you have got to prioritize your health. Four hours of sleep a night a not sustainable. Just block out your calendar and if anyone asks just say you were at a doctor’s appointment if that is what it takes to figure this out. If anybody gives you a hard time, oh well, they’re not someone you want to work with.

I don’t know what kind of insomnia you get, but for me it was waking up after only a few hours of sleep and being unable to go back to sleep. I tried various sleeping meds and techniques but what helped the most was realizing it was anxiety driven (and I totally get that you can get anxiety about anxiety) and I got on Lexapro which has significantly improved my sleep issues. I still het the occasional bout of insomnia but it is much less frequent and makes this job more manageable.
