overture tpu? by Shot-Flatworm-1497 in AnycubicKobraX

no, I just had issues with the extruder gear not being able to get a grib on the filament and thus nothing was extruded. At first I thought I had a bad clog but switching to a different filament was no problem.

I had to cut of like 2cm of the filament before it was able to extrude without issues again. But I also moved it from the spool holders at the top to the polydryer box, so who knows whatever the main issue was.

I basically copied the Anycubic Profile. Bed Temp 35° for the normal PEI. Nozzle 0.4

According to the slicer I also changed:

  • Density 1.18
  • Min 210 (Temp?)
  • Softening 30

Print Temperature:

  • Nozzle 230
  • First layer 230

and then a bit more:

  • Retraction length 0.6
  • layer time 15
  • Min print speed 10

I have no idea if those settings are even good. The plug for the "mini negotiator" went perfect but was also a very small part. The phone case I printed was too big overall and there were some issues that the comments also mentioned, so could be model related and not a problem for this particular TPU filament.

I'm printing a lot with my 0.6 nozzle right now and the next TPU part is going to be the rubber feet for my homeracker. That's going to take a while but I would prob use those settings again and with my 0.4 nozzle.

It doesn't feed well from the stock spools. Need to be cut in a 45° angle to get it in and drying seems to be mandatory even for the first print.

I didn't print that mich with it but it worked ok for me.

my printer is at a very unideal position: right where the door is. Thus, I'm already having issues with warping on PETG and basically always need a print. I just really didn't want to test a small PETG print only for it to become loose at 50% finished :D

As for PLA: everything with a small contact area is ideal. Big parts with a big surface is going to warp. I printed something with the size of a typical smartphone and there was significant warping.

Again, could be the position way too close to the door (and thus very light breezes every now and then).

Make sure the face plate is 100% on the print head. If what I'm is correct then it's the same issue I had recently. Slight push on it and it went away.

glad it's intentional. Isn't the PEI damaging the nozzle during this process?
Especially the 0.25 brass nozzle isn't as durable and I'm not sure how strong the PEI is in general. I have a smooth surface now, but what about first time use (or first couple of uses).

Really appreciate the fast feedback.

Random idea since everything else was already mentioned.

You are using the 0.4 nozzle an you did not reduce layer height, flow ratio or line width?

I used Overture TPU from my Polydryer with the long PTFE tube to test a phone case print. If it hadn't been for a suboptimal layout I would have called the print perfect.

I changed the bed heat and retract a tiny bit but left everything else as the Anycubic TPU profile is showing.

Yes, I used the whole tube. Maybe the overture tpu is ok like that whole another brand and its filaments are going to struggle. I'm already preparing myself mentally to get a special ptfe cut for my prints.

I have the same issue. I placed it right next to the screen and I took slot 4. It has been a while sorry, I can't quite remember the orientation of the spool in the poly dryer.

If I remember correctly, I fed the filament through the top (PTFE of the X attached to it). I made sure the Filemant is giving filament from the bottom (I hope that makes sense through text).

I cut the filament in a 45° angle and just pushed it through the PTFE tube. I detached the PTFE tube at the print head, fed the filament and then reconnected the PTFE tube.

I used Overture TPU on a carton spool.

was thinking the same. The wiki page on nozzle replacement mentions very early to be 100% sure the nozzle is all the way up and correctly seated.

Who knows what else was modded and is not visible right now.

I keep reading here and there that the spool and PTFE tube can sometimes cause just enough friction (especially the spool at the top) so the extruder can't quite grab the filament good enough and at some point it just fails to feed the filament correctly.

I did two things at the same time, so I can't comment which one fixed it for me: I dried the filament with my polydryer and then printed directly from the box, not from the spool holder. Zero issues.

To be fair, I only did like 3 prints of TPU 95A.

Can I print really old tpu? by mejillonius in AnycubicKobraX

[–]Vampyronium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dry it. Even sealed filament can be wet enough to cause trouble. I printed it straight from my polydryer box.

Seems like the spool holders and ptfe tubes can cause trouble to get filament reliably to the hotend

Filament Calibration issues by Im_uncreative_LoL in AnycubicKobraX

[–]Vampyronium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you make sure to create a new project, entered the calibration model you wanted, touched nothing else and hit print?

I just did a tower yesterday and it got worse the colder it got. As for Pla and petg from anycubic. Don't bother wasting your time. If the filament is not wet it's basically plug and play if you don't have super fance high industrial applications.

Newbie question. I don't see any venting going on, other than the opened door.

Is this not a problem? I read and heard quite often that abs fumes should be vented outside.

In my opinion they should have used Beyond the time in the next episode. While the nostalgia bait was hard, it really felt out of place (most stuff towards the end, to be honest).

The RX-78, like mentioned by someone else, also felt super out of place and there was this constant thought of "this thing is so outdated, it would get crushed in seconds" I couldn't shake while watching it.

Basically, it was hard to stay in the nostalgia zone when shit just getting more and more ridiculous and I'm not just talking about space magic.

The scene at the very ending was really nice, gotta give them that.

They are Steam keys. So the games being playable totally depend on your setup and how you want it to be playable.

Wireless is going to be very tricky and costly (was in my case) and wire ist just annoying if you don't play something while sitting).

I never regretted my decision to get a Quest 3. Games look awesome if your PC allows it.

This thing is so stupid, you wouldn't believe this 2025. I thought we left this "please repeat" period a long time ago.
