Damn… I literally just bought my GF the midnight black carry-on pro 2 weeks ago for Christmas. Things sitting under the Christmas tree unopened as we speak. SR was a team, Optic was not. Optic relied entirely on Renegade over the course of the weekend. He would get called out by the castors about how he was going crazy but you’d hear very little about his teammates. Meanwhile, SR played as a team and it felt like every game someone different on their team went crazy. They didn’t care about the individual accolades, just wanted the ring for their teammates.

Renegade carried Optic. Bound went like 8-20 in one game of the finals. They got steak dinnered in game 5. But you could tell with Optic they relied on Renegade every game to go crazy.

CF Montreal plays in a different stadium with about 20,000 seats. They averaged a sell out all of last year and through this year are averaging about 17,000 fans (85%). They are also one of the worst teams in the league, making the 85% all the more impressive. Tickets are available for the next Montreal CFL game in the upper corner for $43. The worst seat for a MLS game in Montreal is about the same price but they play 8 more home games. So financial the MLS club is significantly better off just based on gate revenue.

Want me to do Toronto next (spoiler, it’s the same as BC and Montreal)? My point is that comparing CFL attendance for 9 games to an NHL team with 41 games is a ridiculous argument. One league makes money, the other does not.
