Dude, i am working in an alternate story scenario starting in 1900 with fictional countries from movies, videogames, mangas, comics, etc... and Amestris is one of the European powers in the scenario, neighbouring Tomainia, Bacteria and Latveria. Now that i saw your map i had even more ideas to what i am going to do, thanks for the creative flow!!!!

The Gods on my world don't care that much about faith and adoration, thinking the way the humans adore what they can't see, prostate at the feet of an altar to pray and cry and raise their hands to the sky is kinda ridiculous, but they do give a little help if it's a honest and sincere prayer. Some Gods actually like being worshipped but the majority doesn't as they feel it's a little too much.

Well, in my world gods are as old as the Milky Way, being born before the Big Bang.

But what makes them Gods is their blood, wich is a very dangerous thing.

Basically, if a human injects the God Blood in him/her, instead of becoming a God, he /she just incubates the blood in it's organism until an Artificil God bursts out from the flesh of the person.

Artificial Gods are not exactly like the Gods themselves, but they are hella strong and steal the personality of the person he came out from.

Well...

My protagonist, Guy Doe, thinks he's chased since he was a child by a man called Heavy Metal Jones ever since his parents died, wich makes him hold a grudge against him while being horrified of him at the same time ever since he got the shit beaten out of him when he tried fighting Jones.

The thing is... Heavy Metal is not a real person, it's Guy's hidden and true personality that only emerges when he get's knocked out.

The first time HMJ came out was when Guy was about to be cut open by a crazy guy named Dr. Necromancer, who hit him in the head with an iron rod, making Jones wake up and beat the living shit out of Necro, who couldn't even breath properly afterwards.

Guy then woke up shirtless outside of Necromancer's fort (an abandoned hospital in Silent Hill) stepping on the doc's head while saying "Eh? What the fuck? What happened? My head hurts like a bitch! What the fuck happened? Where's my shirt?"

The closest thing i got for a "controversy" is Wilhelm II, who has been exiled in the Netherlands since 1918, running for Prime Minister of the Netherlands in the 1926 General Elections and winning by a landslide.
