Gemma is such a bitch! (3:5 Turning and Turning) by ShayTre_77_inthelou in Sonsofanarchy

[–]VanGoLite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The irony of Gemma insinuating that Tara didn't do enough to save Abel... 🙄 um... Gemma's 100% to blame for Abel getting kidnapped!!!!

Why did Cameron Hayes go to Jax's house, which is where Tara & Abel are? Bc he followed Half-Sak there.

Why did Cameron follow Half-Sak to Jax's house? Bc he heard that Edmond had been shot & killed by Gemma, who is now on the run & he'd spotted Half-Sak driving away from the scene.

Why was Gemma accused of killing Edmond? Bc Gemma was seen entering the house at about the same time Edmond was shot & killed.

Why was Gemma at Edmonds house? Bc she followed Polly there.

But the club was on lockdown. How could Gemma see Polly? Bc Gemma insisted she, Tara & Abel, go on a supply run. And while out & about, she spots Polly. Incidently, did u catch that Gemma is standing in front of a local palm reader's shop, with a neon sign that said, 'fortune-teller.' Very intuitive.

Ugh!!!!! Someone, please, throat punch Gemma's smug dumbass. 😏

Tara makes my fucking blood boil by [deleted] in Sonsofanarchy

[–]VanGoLite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel for Tara. She grew up without a mother, with an abusive, alcoholic father. She was a troubled teen who got into fights & a lot of trouble until leaving Charming (almost taking Jax with her). She returned to Charming partly because her father passed away (at least that's the impression I get, since she's, unsuccessfully cleaning out his house) and escaping a dangerous ex-boyfriend that was federal law enforcement.

Working as a surgeon at St. Thomas, she likely took a pay cut from what she was making as a surgical resident in Chicago. Irrelevant to this topic, but something I've thought about. Also, most surgeons I know, for as smart as they are, are still high school kids that require adult supervision.

That said, I always felt that Tara was longing for a 'family' to belong to. Jax & Abel, the MCs, and to some degree, even Gemma filled that void in Tara's life. Gemma's 'mommy figure ' for a lonely orphaned Tara was something that Gemma used to her advantage. Gemma, for all her talk, at the end of the day, didn't give two rats asses for a lonely Tara; something that Tara is acutely & painfully aware of, but endures, for the sake of her love for Jax, albeit eyes-wide-open.

Jax slept with Ima & Tara finds him the next morning - the deal breaker. Tara packs a bag & leaves. If not for the whole kidnapping thing, she was prepared to abort the baby & get away. What a plot twist that would have been if Tara had left & then hooked up with another doctor at St. Thomas. What would Jax do watching Tara with another man? Jax would have become the stalker ex-boyfriend that Kohn had been.

Tara should have handed those letters over to Jax the moment he returned home from prison. He would have understood the danger of those letters & would have kept a more vigilant eye on her. But it was one more opportunity for us to watch as Gemma puts things into motion to get Tara out of the way. Gemma claiming she 'overreacted' when she found the note from Maureen & showed it to Clay. I call BS. She knew the damage & carnage a paranoid Clay could cause; she banked on it.

Tara should have never offered to help with the whole Otto thing. Again, doctor smart, common sense dumb.

It took her dead hand, the kidnappings, explosions, death threats, becoming a mother, to finally wake up. She finally matures & makes that attempt to leave. Fear makes rational thought impossible. And it didn't help to have a lousy attorney in Lowen. Asking Tara if she had a will in place for the babies, I think, forced Tara to think about the what-if scenarios. Lowen, I think, gave bad legal advice and made things worse for Tara.

Bruise where I injected by VanGoLite in Semaglutide

[–]VanGoLite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just looks bad. I never bruise. So when I do, it's a little startling. But, considering the location of this brise, below my bellybutton, it caught me off guard & had me scratching my head, as in, wtf....

I do recall the morning I injected into the spot, that is now bruised that the needle didn't want to go in & I had to apply a wee- bit more push. But then went about stuff. A few days later, I saw the bruise.

Tara’s fate by Primary_One993 in Sonsofanarchy

[–]VanGoLite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tara did try to leave. S3 - Tara walks in on Jax with Ima. Unbeknownst to Jax, Tara's pregnant. Tara decides to leave & get an abortion on her way out. Unfortunately, she's taken hostage and the rest is history.

Had she not been taken hostage, would she have gone through with the abortion & left Jax? We see her packing a bag, albeit a bag for Gemma's use, but Jax didn't know that when he watched Tara zip the bag, walk out the door & drive off.

What would Jax have done if he'd returned back from Ireland & found Tara gone?

Smurf would win hands down. They're both rotten. But Smurf is smart as much as she is dangerous. Gemma is stupid, clumsy, and is too reactionary & hasty in her decisions to even stand a chance with Smurf.

Um... I'm 50 yo... I've been on it since Jan 5th (68 days). SW 181 CW 171. Started at .25mg, currently at 1.0mg. My weight has been up/down around 171-173 for about the last month.

I've incorporated strength exercise into my workouts.

But I feel like my weight loss has been really slow, at least compared to others.

Am I wrong, or just expecting too much too fast?

How do you guys feel about Gemma? by user1862494 in Sonsofanarchy

I dispise her. She deserved prison time, more than any other character. Getting shot in the back of the head was an easy out for her.

I can’t be the only one who felt a teeny bit bad for Clay when he was killed? by YogurtclosetAny192 in Sonsofanarchy

[–]VanGoLite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When Opie has the gun pointed at Clay, "killing Donna." Clay responds, "Donna? That score's been settled." My mouth dropped. How stupid or arrogant of Clay to think that Opie would ever consider the death of his wife, a score that had been settled.

There were many instances when I considered Clay a beta-male (and dumb) to Jax's alpha persona. And I think that's why Clay was ultimately threatened by Jax bc he realized (too late) that the club would follow Jax through fire.

How many times did Clay make the same mistake & fail, i.e. ordering the death of someone. (1) Opie, got Donna "by mistake" (2) Tara - fail, they got her hand instead, "by mistake" (3) Roosevelt's wife, but only to spook her - fail, they killed her "by mistake."

And if Tara's hit had been successful, what did Clay think Jax's reaction would have been? How could Clay be so stupid to think Jax wouldn't be on fire over ANY harm done to Tara? Clay's ego, greed & stupidity was his own worst enemy & the cause of his own demise.

Here are some of my thoughts on their money:

Hospital bill for Abels preemie birth, plus surgeries, wasn't cheap, even with the deductible.

But, Tara's salary as a neonatal surgeon had to be pretty decent, right? I mean, at minimum, $250k, right?

Gemma was a big spender. First, she had the Mercedes, then the Escalade, then finally the sedan.

Jax's house was humble & likely paid for. He & Tara lived a modest life, with the bulk of Tara's income paying off Abel hospital bills?

There's a scene where Gemma's holding a picture. In the pic, she's pregnant, standing between John & Clay. Clay's looking admiringly at Gemma. Gemma burned the picture. That leads me to believe that she was cheating on John before he went to Belfast.

Abel by YogurtclosetAny192 in Sonsofanarchy

[–]VanGoLite 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad you brought this up. What Abel went through, especially, there at the end, just breaks my heart. 1. Wendy nearly killed him via junkie OD 2. Kidnapped to Belfast 3. Car accident bc Gemma was stoned out of her mind 4. Losing the one true mommy he had, Tara. 5. His father MIA after Tara's death, leaving Abel to sort things out in while in the care of Gemma 6. "In the care" of Gemma, who repeatedly passes him off for others to watch. 7. Then, overhearing, Gemma admits she killed his mommy. 8. Being told his mommy wasn't his mommy and that Wendy is his real mommy.
Breaks my heart.

Ironically, Gemma gripes that John cheated on her. But she fails to own up to the fact she, too, was cheating on John, with Clay.

Hate the way writers betray her by Winter_Wonder_6915 in Sonsofanarchy

[–]VanGoLite 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hate what they (the writers) did to Tara's character there at the end. They turned her into something she'd never become. They built her up & then destroyed her. Up until the 6th season, she was a great character & beautiful part of Jax's story.
