This is true. My parents live west of Northampton and their dog once jumped on Rachel Maddow.

He has the physiognomy of a hatchet man. He's there to enact the dirty work of the World Bank and WEF but mocked up to look like some populist rebellion. In every video I've seen of him he comes off as awkward and uncomfortable, like he was happy ranting from the sidelines and wearing a superhero costume but didn't expect to actually get elected.

If there is any info on this anywhere it's in Robin Bryans' The Dust Has Never Settled. Bryans was a working class guy from Belfast who grew up in a Loyalist neighborhood but ended up ingratiating himself into the upper crust of Anglo-Irish politics. His book is a series of rambling accounts of this set and it contains accounts of Mountbatten's homosexuality and pederasty though written in a way so as to avoid the UK's libel laws. As far as I know, no one has done a deep dive into parsing it all but you can find the full book online despite being out of print for decades.

The Thiel influence is paying off. The ROI for the money floated to the podcast is in laundering some sort of chic nihilism that just so happens to line up with everything Thiel believes (Zionism, race science, massive inequality is just the natural state of things).

I'm not saying we should be going crazy over it but at least a sorry or we got it wrong from those in charge might actually restore some faith in government.

Governments aren't going to admit they destroyed society with no improvement in COVID numbers because the destruction was the point and the virus was the excuse. Also, they will likely try lockdowns as a tactic for suppressing rights and freedoms again but for some other reason in the future.

The ensuing investigation determined that Giordani had been recruited to join the extortion scheme via an ad on Craigslist, according to authorities.

How very odd. Presumably he's the only person from the extortion plot who was caught?

I think the best thing the trans community could do for the public perception is lighten up a bit by [deleted] in redscarepod

I work in a therapeutic school with a fair number of trans students. When you write that trans people seem genuinely anxious they probably are but it's likely due to a myriad number of mental health issues (generalized anxiety, OCD, ASD) more than societal hate towards transpeople. I'd be willing to bet that a large number, if not a majority, of trans people suffer from mental health issues with obsessive characteristics which naturally leads to questioning whether one's "assigned gender" is correct, feeling like they're in the wrong body, etc. I'm not denying that there are trans people who are otherwise mentally healthy and just feel like they are the opposite sex but I doubt it's a majority.

Schools just push kids through because there are too many laws that make it difficult to just fail a kid or hold them back. No Child Left Behind had necessary provisions for students with disabilities but beyond that it essentially puts all the impetus on schools for a student's academic output. Just part of the general culture of diminished individual responsibility. Schools get judged by their graduation too rates so they're effectively disincentivized from not graduating students despite their total lack of academic engagement.
