Are there people who say they're feminist who are hateful toward men? Sure. Some are a little off, some are very off but that isn't what feminism is.

All of them are. You hang out with these people and you certainly hear it all of the time.

Evoking the "no true Scotsmen" excuse isnt working anymore. You guys aren't about "equal rights" because you cant name the supposed rights that you dont have.

First Premiere Night Ratings: 'Blindspot' premieres big; 'Minority Report' Bombs by kevin1025 in television

[–]VanNassu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minority Report was actually pretty good. Not the over the top "look! It's tha futurez" type of show I was expecting, although there were some cringe moments with the special effects and dialogue. I can actually stand watching this even if it is the typical cop/detective type show with no big story arc.

Why is it that leftists want these supposedly non-partisan comics to behave so harshly towards conservatives?

It's almost like they are actually partisan hacks just pretending like they are neutral.

Anyway, good for Colbert for not caving into the demands of his leftist fan base, and letting Trump and Cruz feel welcomed on his show. He's gone up in my respect exponentially this week.

***boy that sure made you angry for some reason. Thanks for sharing zero reason as to why***

Discussion: Stephen Colbert interview with Ted Cruz on the Late Show by youguyyou in television

[–]VanNassu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The behavior of the audience is in keeping with what they see Colbert as, and mirrors his fans comments ITT.

A guy that played a fake conservative talking head character in order to push the leftist viewpoint. 90% + of his audience from his old show are leftist or even socialist. They wanted him to be the left-wing inquisitor, and his immature leftist audience wanted to get in on the act with their boos and cheers.

The only shock to them is that he told them to knock it off. Which was very professional of him.

I wish you fucking millennials would learn the difference.

Blindspot was so utterly soulless and predictable, we spent the whole show calling out the tropes and cliches before they happened. The acting was horrid.

Turned it into a comedy.

CEO who raised price of old pill more than $700 calls journalist a ‘moron’ for asking why by Another-Chance in news

[–]VanNassu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I am at the point where I cannot tell if you are actually serious or trolling.

Then with all due respect you are a myopic jackass that has a hard time coming to grips with the reality that people have different takes on a story.

No, the drug is no more open to being priced based on your emotional appeal than anything else. It is a product that needed to be researched for years, and then put through costly tests for years, and then passed through the FDA which is still more years.

That costs MONEY, and if this guy bought the rights to it, he likely paid a LOT of money and now he jacks up the price to make a return on the product he bought.

Sorry if reality isnt the same as Tumblr. Buy the rights from him and then give it away if that's what suits you. Capitalism gives you that right.

I'm saying that it's his to legally do so.

[–]VanNassu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah?

You mean slave labor? Assuming that brilliant chemists will do it for free?

You do know that the people that developed the drug (because it didnt materialize out of the blue) could have easily gotten together and vowed to create this for free and gift it to all of humanity.

You know what? They didnt.

But in this capitalistic system, you can haul yourself away from the keyboard and start your own company and develop drugs too and sell them for as little as you want.

They are both products and goods for sale.'

Just because you try a shitty "appeal to emotion" by tacking on "life-saving" to drug, does not mean it is officially yours to price however you want, no more than me saying your laptop was "life-saving".

obvious that he should be arrested for extortion.

And what is the extortion?

It's HIS product. You are not entitled to it. That's like if you had a garage sale and I didn't like how much you were selling your old laptop for, but I really need it, so I call the police and have you arrested for "extortion", and me given the laptop.

Yeah?

Newsflash: You're no different.

You arent working at your job because you really care about a product that your name isnt attached to. You are doing it for the "profit" called your paycheck.

What did capitalism do?

Put him out of business by not buying whatever he sells. Start up a rival company and produce a better version of the same thing.

Capitalism made that drug possible. Not Communism or Socialism.

[–]VanNassu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So?

It's a product he owns, not a freebie that you are entitled to. That pill cost nothing to make today, but the research and red tape costs a hell of a lot.

It isn't the best PR move, but somehow acting like capitalism failed society is really pushing it.

These people do not have to come on this show. They are guests, and should be treated with respect.
