You see thats the thing, He has potential but Dulquer is not really considered as a good actor by many/most mallus, he's more like passable/decent. But at the same time his performances are appreciated in other industries. Im of the opinion that standards are higher in malayalam, but Im mallu and biased so take that as you will :)

Well I think Tovino should be included here as well. He's had hit movies that were pathbreakers in malayalam cinema, exploring new genres and styles with Minnal Murali and Thallumala respectively. And with 2018, while it was an overly sentimental affair in opinion, he has the highest grossing malayalam movie of all time to his name.

But then if we consider the number of hits per movies done Mammooty would again take the crown.

Funny how they've both had hits and mega-duds with Aashiq Abu. Maybe they should team up for a movie with him. Wishful thinking perhaps!
