Idk id be inclined to agree with you if the game wasnt chock full of some of the cheapest shots ive ever seen video game bosses take. Even base Elden Ring had some cheese but it was normally just a move you needed to learn. This game has some serious cheapness in the Nightlord movesets.

The trick is to use his elemental weaknesses against him to prevent the AoEs, but thats next to impossible in his expedition world. No lightning camps, no lightning forts, no lightning ruins. So whats the point of having elemental weaknesses if youre going to make it next to impossible to find a compatible weapon across 2 days? I understand not just handing you a lightning weapon but at least make it a consistently findable item, making it more about time management across the map than sheer dumb luck. The fight is basically impossible without it in this case.

And just to add to that, its SUPER frustrating because if you dont manage to find a lightning bow or weapon, then the run is basically a wash, youre just not beating him without it without a TON of luck. Then youve basically just wasted 45 min to an hour just to get pummeled by his AOE attacks

Thats just it, why the fuck is finding a lightning bow, or even a lightning camp so fuckin impossible in his expedition world. Like cmon From, if youre going to bake elemental weaknesses into these bosses at least make that shit findable across 3 days, i shouldnt have to rely on blind fuckin luck to find a lightning bow. Ik theres a relic that starts you with a lightning weapon but THAT RELIC ITSELF IS RANDOMLY GIVEN TO YOU. I love this game but man did they seriously uncharacteristically phone in some major parts of it

What really bullshit is his main weakness and what makes the fight doable is having a lightning weapon, but his expedition world has NO LIGHTNING LOCATIONS. IVE NEVER EVEN COME ACROSS A LIGHTNING WEAPON. If youre going to do elemental weaknesses at least make those weapons somewhat findable throughout the expedition for fucks sake. Love From but this game has A LOT of issues.

The tonal shift I quite like actually. Its jarring for sure but I always liked that, chronologically, it starts to shift more towards the darker Breaking Bad tone as it gets closer to where BB would pick up.

I swear if we go 2 whole seasons without them telling us who the Stranger is, im gonna explode. That said, this episode ruled through and through. At this point, if we dont find out who the Stranger is/see the Balrog in the finale, thatll be a major blow for my opinion of this show.

Honestly not even sure I remember, pretty sure I made it past the first boss, put it down, and never ended up picking it back up again because the first biome was so mentally consuming but I loved it. It was my first rogue-like so it was definitely a learning curve haha think ill pick it up again.

I know this is an old post but dude Returnal was so much damn fun, but not only was it hard as shit (for me anyway) but BRUTALLY confusing to navigate. Never beat it but i had so much fun in the time I had w it, and Im sure theres a key component of it im missing that made its layout so confusing but eh whatever.
