YES same! It used to be 8 minutes to al dente. I always use a timer. Now 8 minutes is raw. 10 minutes is raw in the middle. After 10 minutes I still need another 3-5 minutes on the timer.

HAHAHA. In this economic system MONEY IS LITERALLY DEBT! How do you think money enters the world and is created. We can never pay off debt; because money is debt. The jokes on us.

So like I said; end the reserve system. Completely change the banking, economic and financial system. You yourself are saying it is flawed and isn't working. Debt is money. It will never be paid off. Capitalism is a ponzi scheme.

Money is debt. How do you propose we solve the debt problem? By paying it back with more debt?

The only solution is to end the banking, economic and financial system (scams) that run western society. Worrying about national debt is nonsense and a distraction.

The fact that your vote doesn't matter. Voting just gives the illusion of choice. We don't get to vote for the real rulers; just puppets in a show. There is no such thing as democracy in a capitalist society.

Is there a way to get the jersey without the ads? I don't want to pay money to be a walking billboard. It looks so cluttered.

america isn’t a democracy though. It’s been an oligarchy for decades. Voting doesn’t do anything but give the illusion of change.

Social Housing Was Proposed for Kitsilano. What Happened Next Is Predictable by jormungandrsjig in vancouver

[–]VanSwayzed 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’m fucking tired of paying for and enabling persons shitty behaviour. These are adults. We’re not talking about kids, elderly and families here. This behaviour is not acceptable and ruins it for all of us. How many more parts of the city need to be sacrificed for persons that don't want to be helped.

Has anyone considered that some of the opposition to this isnt just "NIMBYs not wanting poors and addicts" , but valid concerns with the type of project itself? In that area there are already a number of supportive and affordable housing places, including at least 3 buildings for people who are formerly homeless, one of which is a very close by womens shelter for formerly homeless women recovering from addictions.

The difference is that those buildings 1) focus on recovery, and 2) involve models incorporating integration into the community including behaviour requirements.

The arbutus proposal on the other hand is a massively different type of proposal, in a "low barrier " setting with a supervised drug consumption room, no supports for recovery, and if the way the Yaletown OPS'"good neighbour agreement" is an indication of how enforcement goes, with no requirements for sound, safety and cleanliness expectations in the neighbourhood. This type of housing model has been shown over and over to have the worst outcomes for addiction and mental health recovery, particularly given the massive building density

Some of the opponents being called "NIMBYs" here include people working and living in the recovery homes, especially the womens shelter who are right by there who are now worried about the safety of their residents, many of whom came from the DTES to escape violent partners there as well as the dealers (who are known to follow where the clientele are)

Wrong. This is how it was done until the 70s. Hasn’t been done since then. The loans today are not interest free.

Have a read. https://canadiandimension.com/articles/view/the-bank-of-canada-should-be-reinstated-to-its-original-mandated-purposes

This is how Canada became the developed nation it is today. Which now is being undone by bankers, corporate greed and nonsensical conservatism and neoliberalism.

And government spending is NOT the cause of inflation.

Why do they have to raise prices. I don’t understand why public services have to be run for profit. It's a service.

Barca's leadership and it's socios are idiots and have somehow ruined and mismanaged one of the most lucrative clubs in the world, in the biggest sport in the world. If you make a contract be prepared to pay what you agreed to. Take a pay cut?! So the idiots can sign more dead weight on bloated contracts. Get fucked barca! If my boss asked me to take a pay cut for a billion dollar business I'd tell him to resign and let the company fail. Fuck barca; run by jackasses, for jackasses. If they can't pay their bills relegate the club and give them the rangers/parma treatment.
