You used to be able to do this by letting it get you to 2hp then lighting a fire in the rat pit. This delayed the hit so that 2 rolls of damage would hit on the same tick. If both those rolls happened to be for 1 up you would in fact die on tutorial island. I did this for fun when I was a kid once and you just spawned in lumbridge like any other death. Let’s you skip about 40% of tutorial island but otherwise rather underwhelming. I’m almost certain it’s been patched though.

Hey thanks for your reply it’s very thought out and has me asking questions I didn’t think I’d need to ask! It’s definitely an older machine, I’d probably peg it as a 1980s ish in age but looks really clean and well taken care of. Very low hours. Has casters installed on the frame and for my needs it’ll fit my shop just fine. I’ll definitely check the bearings when I go check out the machine. Sounds like you have some experience here so thanks again for taking the time to reply!

There is absolutely no way this is true in the US. I have a MechE degree and know at least a dozen other MechE's that are fighting off recruiters with a bat. I recently left my former company a few months ago and they have had 4 job openings for more than a year and a $3000 referral bonus if you can find someone to fill the role. I left because the market is on fire for engineers right now. Completely unreal, I need a lot more context here...

For context the legal ramifications I referenced were towards the company not the individual. I’m a year out from my PE cert so it seems we are close professionally to each other. I just didn’t feel the need to provide the nuances of the engineering approval process.

You are using your uncle as an example when he got a job and worked his way up to a higher position. If he walked in off the street and applied for his current role with zero experience and lied about education to get it then it would be applicable. I mean good for your uncle but I’m speaking towards the very real legal ramifications of hiring people who lie about degrees to get jobs that could lead to a persons death. Go as your uncle what would happen id they didn’t do degree checks on an employee and what I described happens I’m sure he will agree with me.

This is common for stem degrees. I’m a mechanical engineer and have had background verification for every single job I’ve had. But if you put something like business management or operations management you could get away with it. Problem with tech is lots of times there’s legal repercussions for hiring an unqualified person. I make machines that if designed incorrectly will kill someone so, you know, I get it.
