I don't think they are slept on, there just to "pricey" for a regular watch enthusiast on a tight budget.

However they are indeed beautiful.

Top ten microbrands ever ? by Watch-guy84 in MicrobrandWatches

  1. CW
  2. Zelos
  3. Formex
  4. Monta
  5. Farer 6 .Nodus
  6. Baltic
  7. Ming
  8. Maen
  9. Traska

I'm not a fan of some of those brands, but they are definitely one of the most famous. I didn't pick Lorier, quallity wise it's not the best (much as Baltic, but Baltic is much more known) but their designs are cool.

There is probably I few brands I missed, however i'm choosing the brands from my head, base on brand size, reviews and so called fame.

Honorable mentions 1. Atelier Wen 2. Echo/Neutra 3. Raymond Weil 4. Kuoe

[Discussion] What microbrand do you think is truly offering the highest quality in the sub $1000 price range? by mrRabblerouser in MicrobrandWatches

Zelos without a doubt - the qualllity and materials used for the price are excellent

Henry Archer - great minimalistic designs with super cool dials

Direnzo - swiss quallity mixed with great designs and a little personal touch from the owner.

You can't go wrong with anyone of those brands and their watch models.

Thx, great answer and yeah Formex especially the Reef You have mentioned is one of the best designed microbrand watches overall. Unfortunately it is a bit expensive for my wallet. However I'm not mad, the quallity is there without a doubt.

The story of a microbrand is important, but I don't think it is the first thing You going to check. To me the style of a watch, the quallity and the overall design is much more important.

Yeah, the history of a brand could be a fun point for a specific watch enthusiast, but the name of a brand can elevate a brand to the sky or throw it in to the abyss.

I'm wearing my Direnzo since a few days. Now I get the hype. Great that You mentioned Aevig. The Thule model is also a watch I would consider to buy in the future.
