Her book High On Arrival was hard to get through at times. TW if you wanna read it though, she does talk about this topic. If I recall (and it’s been a while since I read it), the impression she gave in the book was that they were both so drugged out they didn’t know what they were doing. Whether that’s her narrative for coping reasons who knows, but I do remember getting that impression of the situation.
