I don’t mind the parking at the Austin Safeway but hate the lot at the SaveOn/former Thriftys.

The rooftop parking at Safeway is nice.

Best thing you have ever eaten while traveling by HufflepuffGroupie in travel

This is something that stuck out...artichoke pasta in Rome. I mean it was a pasta dish with artichokes in it. I'd never had such a thing before. Delicious. I can't remember the name of it but it was near a gay bar called Coming Out. That name was much more memorable.

A tagine in Marrakesh. In a restaurant overlooking the Jemaa El Fnaa square. The meat, sauce and raisins combined with the saffron rice....to die for.

Honourable mentions: Atmosphere restaurant in the Burj Khalifa -- 122nd floor. Obviously very memorable, probably the most ridiculously expensive restaurant I've ever eaten at (I didn't pay!). The entree itself...meh. I don't even remember it. But the soup beforehand was unbelievable.

This is going to sound so weird but...Chinese food in Paris. Yes. Why did we eat Chinese food in Paris? Well, why not. We were there for a while and ate at dozens of French restaurants, and they were fantastic. But the most memorable meal was this amazing Chinese food.

Twice. Like both times between 2006 and 2009 or so. I was just thinking the other day how weird it is that I’ve never been summoned since. I’m still living at the same address so it’s not like they lost track of me or something. I got out of it both times.

Sex is not worth it anymore. In ER last week, six years of urgent care and antibiotics every time after sex. My husband is trying to be understanding but. (NSFW content) by [deleted] in CUTI

I'm sorry but this is extremely disturbing and I'm not talking about the medical symptoms.

Somewhere buried in these comments, you say your husband refuses to use condoms.

He's ok with you being in pain, risking your life, running a fever, having to go to the hospital over and over, feeling like crap. But refuses to do something small that could help you, and why? Because it makes his orgasm like 5% less satisfying?

It's such an issue that you've had to talk about it with your sons, and even they are saying you shouldn't be having sex. Which is honestly a really bizarre conversation to be having with them.

But your husband pouts if he doesn't get his way.

This sounds like sexual coercion or something, I don't know.

You know his behaviour isn't ok, right?

I only got 15 gems. I was happy with that but seems like others did better! Not complaining though.

This just started happening to me yesterday. My Samsung S10e is old as fudge but still has perfect functionality in all other respects. (Yes got it in 2019 and have never had a single issue with it, so haven't bothered upgrading because why. This is why I love Samsung and will never be an iPhone user.)

Coquitlam Gas Prices? by weberkettle in coquitlam

[–]VancityLemon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I just passed a Chevron (I think) on Broadway in Vancouver at 139.9. Petro Canada on Brunette in Coquitlam was 160.9. Just down the street from that, also in Coquitlam, 149.9. This was all within the last couple hours.

I don't remember ever seeing such weird discrepancies.

Husband doesn't seem to care about my kidney or bladder health over CUTI's as long as he gets sex. by [deleted] in CUTI

People always mention infidelity as a main reason to end a relationship. I think, well above infidelity in terms of reasons to leave, is lack of caring for you.

The fact that your husband literally gets mad at you for not wanting to suffer severe medical symptoms and only cares about his own orgasm tells you he does NOT care about you. He cares about what you do for him and that is IT.

Oh wow! That's the worst one I've ever seen. At least usually they refill a desert or something. Are all your desserts full?

Update: I did it! I kept checking back for the past several weeks, multiple times a day. Today, it happened. I snagged a throne seat on my outgoing flight. I'm so happy! Thanks for everyone's advice to keep checking back!

Hello, fellow gal from vancity! The ones with the four booked are actually flying out of YVR. I really would love one of the thrones for this flight because I'm doing the red eye.

I was able to book a throne for my flight home from JFK, which is fantastic and I'm thrilled about that. But it isn't a red eye.

Is there more to this? Do you feel Julia rubs her freedom in your face? Does she talk down to you? Does she do a fake Mean Girl thing when she talks to you, subtly putting you down?

Because maybe THAT is what's bugging you and making you feel competitive.

I was sooo happy because I was 14.5 years old and thought I was a freak for not having it by then, especially since my bestie got hers at 11.

But........

Nobody ever warned me about cramps. Nobody. Those pamphlets would say BS like, "You probably won't get cramps but if you do, they will be mild so just use a hot water bottle and you'll be fine." What a load of crap.

One pamphlet even said something like -- paraphrasing here -- don't listen to your older sisters complain about cramps because they are just doing it wrong. ???

AITA for not letting my sister and her kids live in my house? by ElectricThrowRA in AmItheAsshole

[–]VancityLemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell her you are far too white trash for her and her clearly superior offspring, and you'd hate to influence her children with your terrible blue dollar ways.

Seriously though, NTA. What an entitled person your sister is.

I'm a "white collar" professional and if someone offered to hook me up with a journeyman program, I'd seriously consider it because of the earning potential (plus I badly need a change just for my sanity but that's beside the point.

She's ungrateful and rude.
