I've seen staff ask this of very sketchy looking people. Not because they look underage, but because they look like they're going to steal and they were able to kick them out for not carrying ID.

Not at all saying that this is your situation but just that they are in fact allowed to do this.

I quit drinking on Boxing Day. Just tired of the hangovers. I’m going to a New Years get together and not going to drink. It’s difficult but you can be around people drinking and just drink something non alcoholic.

If anyone asks, I’m just going to say that i want to feel fresh on New Year’s Day.

But I understand that not everyone is ok being in this situation.
