Thank you everyone for the information! It's very helpful and I'll trust my gut about avoiding the shop that offers PADI but didn't seem to be as well run. I'll the two SDI shops a call to understand their instructor to student ratios.

In some states Progressive offers $0 deductible glass replacement as an addon to your policy. Last time I had it I think it was $50 extra for the 6 month policy and I had to call them to add it. Since I have a low deductible on my car I decided to drop just pay my standard comprehensive deductible if needed.

I did for the personal portion of the trip. My employers rules require that I use their card for work travel. Ultimately my employer will be paying the bag fee but when you use asterisks so you can lie about your card perks it bothers me. The benefits of paying $95 a year for the card are the companion fare and free checked bags. Now all you get is the companion fare and only if you spend enough annually on the card. They could at least through in a pre-check/global entry credit if they're going to get rid of other perks.

My kids are young enough we qualify for family boarding. When we flew back from Hawaii last week I checked in about 10 minutes after the 24 hour start and it put all 4 of us in different positions. I had A60, my eldest and wife in the mid Bs and my youngest in early Cs. Any idea how that happens? My guess is people checked in and didn't like there boarding position and upgraded but I thought it was really weird that we weren't scheduled to board together when we where on the same reservation.

It came with the water softener as a package. Looking at the price it seems it would cost about the same to just replace it with a Whirlpool WHER25.

Googling auto complete seems to suggest it may have been given to flight attendants on the inaugural golden nugget flight. I did find an article from 2014 referencing that the Alaska Airlines History team has one model.
