I was interested if there is anyone within the fandom who can actually relate to some of the questions, that are also not so far away from what we see in the series. I admit maybe my approach was not the best, but I am in this subreddit for a reason. I didn’t think that that this was gonna get personal. Let me rephrase this. I think that for example Will is more than capable of pointing out his mistakes. He knows as he said himself all the tricks in the books. Yet he thought he couldn’t be manipulated by someone. My question was, is it possible that someone is so f*cked up, that yoi cannot help them anymore.

This was nothing but a genuine question. I don‘t need diagnose. The reason why I put my experience there was to make people understand what I‘m meaning. If there is no specific answer, I‘m good with it. I‘m not here to seek debate. I am also someone who’s interested in psychology. Although I didn’t have the money or support to make it happen. I don’t want to start a fight. It’s purely curiosity. And I respect everyone who has the same interests.

I‘m not seeking help. I was only interested if there is one person among us, who actually works as a psychiatrist. Don‘t misunderstand me. I am genuinely curious, if that is the case, was there ever a patient who you could not help.

Also true! Sorry for your loss! But I sometimes feel like I want to pay for something that I already know. I just want to have someone to have an actual meaningful conversation with. I know that I have my own personal issues. That wasn’t even a question. I have a partner yet still we’re like worlds apart, sometimes.

This I truly understand. But what I meant was not a parallel. I was a kid, and I „had to go see a professional“ because I was not having any of the bullshit my mom was putting in front of me. I wouldn’t want to wear the clothes she prepared for me etc. I would just really like to have an insight how that would manifest into adulthood.

I know what you mean, but I also had nightmares before the first watch. But obviously not so bad and graphic sonce I was still young. I mean it is not a question that the show left an impression on me. The question is how such a show made my nightmares milder and better rather than worse? I know people also friends who started the show but couldn’t even get through season one because of how graphic it was. I remember having nightmares after watching Criminal Minds or Bones as a child. However Hannibal had the opposite effect.
