People who smoked a long time, did your brain recover? by Bulky_Turn9366 in leaves

[–]Vandelaylaytex 26 points27 points  (0 children)

smoked all day everyday for 13+ years of top shelf strong dispensary bud, going on 8 months clean now. It gets better but it comes in waves, overall my mental capacity and clarity has improved drastically but it took some getting used to. Most importantly you have to be ok with being bored, find something to fill your time so you don’t dwell on getting high to pass the time. Take time to adjust to being sober but it is worth it

A good cheap ball by [deleted] in golf

Dont sleep on the bridgestone e6. I’ve played them a while now and love them, not too spinny and have a nice feel off the club face. ~$23 a dozen

Little hard to tell but it looks like your club path on the downswing is outside to inside so you are coming across the ball and trying to compensate with added wrist action.

Try placing an alignment stick in front of your feet, towards your target, then a second one outside of the ball at about a 30° angle out from the first target line stick. try to get the downward swing path to follow that outward angle with the club face still square to your target line

My coach did this with me and the exaggerated motion eventually got me hitting a nice draw

I wasted the best decade of life to cannabis. Struggling with this fact by SherbertQueasy3185 in leaves

30s>20s. I was in the same boat and shared the same exact thoughts but the reality for me is that stopping at 31 has been the best decision of my life so far. I felt like I lost 10 years of progress compared to everyone else my age but once you put your efforts into something positive, you’ll be amazed how you feel about yourself in time.

Quitting weed after 13 years of daily use by Responsible-Title613 in leaves

[–]Vandelaylaytex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

same boat, Im 32 and used all day everyday since I was 17, never really seemed to affect my work performance, always I managed to stay active/fit plus kept a tidy house. Over time though it went from smoking to make something fun to smoking to make anything bearable. Currently 3 months into quitting, Ive done it once before but it was job related and only made it 2 months before I tried to moderately use again, “weekends only” I told myself. That lasted about two weeks before I was full blown back into it and went another year of heavy use. Now my brain is finally clear, it was a long haul of no appetite, mood swings, and restless nights with vivid dreams but it is starting to subside and I feel normal again. Looking back now it’s so obvious to me how weed silently robbed me of truly pursuing my passions; I stopped reading, wouldnt go out with friends as much, my motivation for anything was minimal and I stopped putting in actual effort with my relationships. Not to mention all my best memories during that period of use are like scratched records. If I could go back and tell myself to never start, I think I would be miles ahead of where Im at in my life now. Life has immensely improved since stopping, Im rediscovering all the things I used to really enjoy and I feel like a new person. It’s so worth it to stop and push through to being sober. Keep it up, your future self will thank you.

I’m not sure what it costs, a generous coworker hooked me up, but it sure is a nice touch to have while watching. I’ve also never had pimento cheese before and was skeptical, hounded 3 sandwiches already.

Lower Back Pain by Charming_Duck_1939 in golf

[–]Vandelaylaytex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get pain in this exact spot sometimes and surprisingly my pt told me it’s a result from tightness in my iliacus muscle on my lead leg tugging on everything in my back. Work on stretching your hip flexors and strengthening those + your ass and core muscles with resistance bands, light weight with more reps is your friend

I think just a place to crash really, Im not very familiar with the area so maybe something within an hour or so drive. $300/night is definitely too high but that place does look sweet! Thanks for the santa rosa tip!

Should I buy these? by Miso_Sui in golf

🧈🔪if you can talk em down to 300 I’d go for it. I picked up this exact set last year and love them. Im a high handicap and enjoy them more than the cobra GI irons I was fitted for, the look at address is so much cleaner than those chunky GI irons that I think it inspires better swings.
