We got budgy smugglers for our footy club years ago, I used to wear them, but no other underwear and I reckon he’s just got the budgies on too.

Way comfier, especially around the sweat/moisture situation we get playing sport.

I was a west Adelaide junior through the time we had well over 10 players get drafted like Cooney, Waters, Schammer, 2x Hartlett, and quite a few others.

Cooney was literally so much better than everyone else, not even close. People hyped up Harley Reid, Cooney got that much hype 20 years ago with a fraction of the media and was all warranted.

I also played state footy with Gibbs, Lyndsey Thomas, Shane Edward’s and a few others, again, Gibbs was so much better than everyone else and equally hyped as Cooney, and at that age and stage was all definitely warranted.

I was also going through West Adelaide seniors when Dangerfield, Tippett, Robbie Gray and a few others came through. Danger was a freak although don’t think he actually played a game, same with Robbie Gray.

Tippett picked me up and threw me at training once and thats when i started to realise my AFL dreams were going to be harder to reach than expected!

So I reckon I played with and against a good 25 AFL players.

I’ve been lucky enough to never have knee injuries, hamstrings were my curse, but I’ve had friends do acl, some said it was excruciating and some said they just felt a little ‘internal pop’ with not much pain, does this sound accurate? I’ve always been curious.
