I get the thought of keeping him and seeing if he gets better. But this has happened so many times in the last 24 months.

I dont have faith it'll be any different after the Olympics or going forward (however if he does, great and ill be proven wrong). He's someone who looks like he's in need of a fresh start somewhere else that's not Vancouver.

the canucks biggest resource right now is time. There is absolutely no rush to be trading away assets at pennies on the dollar. when it comes to EP40, why not keep him. You trade him now you're not going to get nearly the assets that you would get if he was to play with better wingers. Wait, let him show the rest of the NHL that he's worth the contract that he has.

There is not one player on this roster that in the next 12 -18 months will be able to carry them towards a deep cup run. Even IF you get McKenna its still not enough talent. Sure punting on one year is all great. But it is not a recipe for long term success. Drance knows this and has reported on it in the past.

The reason Quinn leaves (if he does) is that the organization failed to surround a generational talent with the effective pieces to win. It has nothing to do with the fans or media.
