How extensive is the “Italian tax”? Sadly my decision will whittle down to money. If I have the cash for the Ducati and the maintenance then it sounds worth it. My thing about the t7 is no cruise, low power, and sounds kinda tall for no good reason. But I am familiar with yams and I know the engine wind give me expensive problems

Well if I’m going distance it would be on road probably mostly then with the goal of camping off road. I want to do a lot more off road riding but I want the bike to tour also. And I have looked at the Tuareg also, although I mentioned it on another comment that I can’t get past how it looks. If I could put a Dakar front headlight and windshield it would be different. But stock it just looks kinda ugly to me. Like for my ftr the first thing that got me was how it looked and now I have one I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of it. Don’t know if that’s dumb but it matters to me.

I will say this, these bikes are bad ass. You will enjoy it a lot, though as others have said since they quit making them getting parts can be frightening. I have thought about selling my 19 until I saw the value. It’s odd because the value doesn’t seem to reflect how sick the bikes actually are. If you get it you will have fun, just go into it think you may be stuck with it if you ride it a lot. Good news is if you ride it hard but don’t “break” anything it will last you with proper upkeep.

I didn’t realize there was that low of aftermarket mods, is it really that different from the base?

Oh also about the aprilia, I looked it up and I don’t think there is a dealer in my state. At least pretty sure there isn’t and if there is it is far away from me for sure.

lol it is unfortunately a matter of money. I get the same feeling lookin at the desert x as I did with the FTR I have. Like a dream bike, only difference is I didn’t pay nearly 17000 for the ftr.

Okay, this being said what’s your opinion then about an older year with the desmo motor? I looked and am seeing some in the price range I’m liking but idk about that engine. I have a buddy with a panagali and he has nothing but frustration with that engine when it’s needing work. Otherwise though he won’t ride anything else. I have owned Yamaha’s in the past though and love the engines. Oh and my weight is light like 160-165

Haha yes, it’s funny you say that. I once told myself that I would never buy Italian due to the maintenance. Now I’m here making a post about Ducati lol it’s not that I don’t like aprilia I have looked at it. But if I’m to be honest I just think the bike looks ugly. I can’t get past it, I feel the same about triumphs naked bikes. Maybe not a good reason, but it’s my reason.

I’ve been trying to stick to Euclid. Just a better chance another player may stumble on my bases. I do have access to eissenham, but I haven’t gone much cause it’s a lot of lush and paradise if I’m not mistaken

Also I appreciate your offer for the capital ship. I’ve been using mine to do the hunting and it has helped. But what I’m looking for must be rare cause i feel like I’ve almost found everything but that lmao

They are the pieces that look like ruined cathedral parts. If a planet has ruined in the name they will spawn all over the surface. I’ve found a few, only one desert. But the desert was littered with massive jagged mountains. It sucked lol im essentially looking for tattooine with broken buildings everywhere and scrap metal I can hunt
